I don't know if this is very known or not, but I discovered that I at least hear different pitches in different locations in my head.
Sound's strange but it's true. If I play an A, I hear it in my right ear more but if I play a G right below it, my left ear picks it up more.
this may be a very good asset to pitch recognition development and I think it's interesting. I don't now how accurate or useful this is but I
thought it might be interesting. :P

I'm guessing your talking about on a Piano? It's most likely the location of the hammer and strings, and where you sit.... :/

I actually thought that was what was happening at first, but no matter where I sit at the piano, an A note rings in my right ear while a G in my Left, a B is slightly higher in my head than the A. If it was the piano than why would going lower two notes go all the way the other side of my head?

Maybe it has to do with how the vibrations bounce back off the walls at you?

I've never heard of this kind of sound perception before. If you want to confirm your theory, you can try it out using different locations. If your school has a piano, you can try it there and see if you hear the same things. I think it has more to do with self-hypnosis in where you make yourself believe that you are hearing the sound in different locations so you do. That being said, if it works for you, then that's all the proof you will need.

That sounds very interesting...

Real or not, it gives me something other than pitch to help latch on to the qualities of the different notes. :P
