Can you tell me what key it's in? ^_^

This is definitely my best composition yet. :)

Somebody's been listening to the Clannad OST (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxlkdznuWfs) too much ;)

I like the dissonances in the piece. They have a shimmering, sad quality. I also really like how you build up the tension. Good work.

I think it's F# major/D# minor? I like the fact that the changes occurred on irregular time intervals, which really adds to the feel of the piece.

And I agree with M - definitely reminded me of Clannad, haha.

I think this is great....

in-till i saw m's post. this definitely sounds alot like clanned ost. its in the same key(Eb/D# minor by the way) and uses the same impressionist chords on the same instruments. I wouldn't say its completely unoriginal. Because you did change the chord progressions and used a little dynamics.

Overall I think its pretty decent and I enjoyed it. despite my pet peeve about it

Wow, I've never heard Clannad Ost before XD
Are you serious? Was F the tonic note in the Clannad ost? I can't believe it. I though I had something but oh well, I didn't steal nothing as I've never heard it before. ^ ^
no, actually it's F locrian  Fm(omit 5) - Ebm - Fm(omit5) - Badd9 ect...

Basically I made locrian sound better by leaving out the b5 on the tonic.

Thanks, I really appreciate it! :) I like how the F#m resolves to the Fmomit5 chord a few times in the song. Locrian does have a very sad lonely feel when used
like this, phrygian does too but locrian is darker and sounds more desolate, plus the major chord a tritone away from the tonic makes
it sound even sader. I think it's the consecutive minor thirds due to the b2 in those two keys that sound so sad and lonely. Just play Em - Dm Back and forth and it sounds very sad.

So I closed my session in my sequencer headed around here and found that what I was doing is very alike to your piece and the Clannad one. XD !

The piece may benefit a bit of more reverberation.

Ok, you mean like more reverb effect? Sorry, I'm not an expert at this, I just go to cubase pick and instrument, record with my keyboard, change the EQ which I don't really know what I'm doing, and edit the instrument patch a bit. I just started doing this so it's hard. XD
