Since we are all music fans, why not list down our favorite headphones/earphones? Your favorite could be something that produces deep bass, clear sound, powerful audio, etc. You can also list down headphones/earphones on your wish list.

I'll start with mine first, although I have poor taste. :P

I love this pair of earphones made by Sony. They are very cheap but they produce great sound in terms of clarity for their price. These earphones are perfect for those looking for something practical at a good price.

Does anyone know of any ear-buds that are comfortable/subtle enough to sleep in? Like, sleeping on your side with your ear against the pillow? I just have some cheap < 10$ ear buds from Philips, and they always hurt my ear if I try to sleep on them D:

I actually used to sleep with ear phones in sometimes, and I sleep on my side too. I was using a Chevron brand wired ear piece set. Instead of accepting calls, I just plugged them into my ipod and it'd work fine. Also since they were flat, but shaped to the ear, I could sleep on them quite comfortably. So you could always look into that, but I'm not sure if a smart phone or modern ipod would accept an ear piece to play music though.

As for favourite brand, I have 2 sets of headphones. A Sennheiser 201 for general use, good for the bus and if they get damaged they're fairly cheap; but despite this they still have decent sound quality. And a Sennheiser HD 280 Pro for music production at home, and sometimes for performances.

Sennheiser are my favourite brand just because of the comfort, shape and sound quality, but I would love to find some good neck phones.

I'm rather interested in these. I don't always use headphones but when I do.....I just do.

I've used a creative Fatal1ty headset ever since I got supplied with one at my first job for anything at home.

On the move I use a set of Oneil earbuds similar to these:

seconding Sennheisers.
I've had 202s for a couple years now, haven't gotten around to resoldering the right cup but they're damn comfortable for supra-aural headphones. They're broken only because I tripped and stepped all over them (90kg here) lol. Friend has a pair of 555s and loves them, I'm looking to buy a pair of the 480 series (I prefer closed to open) and from comparisons with Bose and things like Beats I gotta say I can't find a reason not to go Sennheiser, cheaper and equal or better sound in my opinion. (Should be noted I'm half deaf and also semi tone deaf but yeah)

As far as in ear headphones I use a pair of cheapo ones since...well I'm cheap. Always wanted to try some Shures but I don't have that kinda money laying around, I'll probably end up replacing my pair with something out of the Sennheiser line because I'm a fanboy like that.

Thirding Sennheisers. I've had a pair of HD 595s for a few years now, and they're still fucking awesome. When I need another pair of headphones, I'll probably be upgrading to one of their higher models, if I ever even feel the need to. The ones I have now are pretty damned near crystal clear. They're simply a joy to use with my Yamaha P155 keyboard! [/product placement] XD

And Luis, Senn carries stuff just as expensive as the higher end Shures...but the Senneiser's seem to be better rated overall.
Gotta buy these next: http://www.sennheiserusa.com/dynamic-stereo-headphones-high-sound-quality_500319 !

And Luis, Open > Closed. Clearer sound ftw.
...I was going to tell you to buy mine, but the price like...almost doubled because they stopped making the model (http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD595-Performance-Premiere-Headphones/dp/B0001FTVE0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1330487025&sr=8-1)
The closest one they make now is the HD598, but I can't personally vouch for that one. I'm sure they're still worth the money, though. Wish there was a store around I could listen to these things before buying them...I want to see what the ridiculously priced headphones sound like compared to the ones I have now. Not that I have the money anyway, but... XP

I appreciate that you'd want to push me towards the better product, but I prefer closed headphones. I have some minor hearing problems and the difference in quality (That I'll barely or not percieve) doesn't outweigh eliminating sound leakage both ways... roomates or brothers when I'm home and stuff like that. Love the feeling of putting on some headphones and being closed off from the world even at a low volume :3

I really don't have good headphones, at least ones that I'd really want... They're much too expensive.

However, when I have about $150-200 at my disposal, I'm definitely going to be shopping for a decent pair of quality monitoring headphones-- despite it when people say they hate using monitor headphones for leisure listening :3

Something like these would be lovely:

I just use a cheap pair of ear buds. When they brake, I go and buy another cheap pair of ear buds from walmart. XD

Of course, I always make sure I get a good brand. My current pair are made by Sony, and they have really nice quality.

I want to save up some money though and get a nice pair of over-the-head headphones. I'm currently looking into a pair of white Sony headphones in that style. Now if only I had money. :/
