hey i need to know how to take screen shots of videos.

i know u press Prnt Scrn on ur keyboard and paste it in paint but when u do that the screenshot moves and everything and its just a blank screen.

post on how to take screenshots of videos plz.

Well the easiest way is to get a Program like Intervideo WinDVD and use Capture screen. Prnt Scr will never work on videos

any other ways?

i can't remember the details, but videos use some kind of weird rendering with directdraw, so you can't just prntscn. most video players will come with a "take screenshot" function, and some screen capturing programs will as well.

What about if it's a video file off a CD rather than a DVD? Can you screencap using prtsc for those, or would you have to go through Intervideo?

it doesn't matter -- all video rendering is done the same way.

there should be a lot of 3rd-party tools that can do it... just google for it
