Um, hi! ^.^

Ok, here's my story:

On my last birthday (like 3months ago) I got a keyboard. And I love it to death. I play it every day (mostly all Final Fantasy songs, lol) but have never taken any lessons... and for the longest time (uh, 2 months is a long time, right?) I wanted to compose music.

Then, just 2 days ago, I downloaded the wonderful program, Finale Notepad 2005 .... So I composed a song. I felt proud of myself ( o.0 lol) And I wanted to share it with ppl, but I couldn't save it as an audio file.

SO ... I recorded it into a movie type thing, with my mom's digital camera ... then i converted the file from .avi to .mp3, so it was just audio. So you might hear the hum of my computer... o.0

That being said, anyone care to listen and give me their honest opinions?

This song consists of the piano and flute... is 57 seconds long

(man, I talk too much.. o.0)

Please give a rating out of 10?

I really like the opening . . the song grabs my attention throughout. I like the overall style and effect/mood you've created. However, it's just a little bit hard at times to keep track of the piano and flute when they mesh together.

Good job though on your first song!

the very beginning is cool, but then the chords become slightly off.
then it sounds cool again at 0:21, and at 0:44, you start to repeat, so again it sounds nice except the 3rd and 4th chord of that phrase.

Catchy, but the beginning was mostly the only thing that really appealed to me.

all i have to say is wow. after just wanting to compose for 2 months, you turned out something like that??? you put me to shame, my man. I like it a lot, but that chord progression in the beginning doesn't fit. ah, me. I like it, and keep up the good work.

Not too bad, but there really needs to be some more developtment of a melody. And too much repetition ruins what you have. But good job, and keep trying :) 7/10
