Anyone here play Counterstrike. I only played once that was at a friends house cause I have a friggin Mac!! his sn was Sun Wukong, anyone play with him?

I did try to play cs a while ago on steam but then it generated 7000 error logs in one opening and my cd-key wouldn't register. And its hard to get a 88mb patch on 56k.

yer i used to play but i lost my password for steam so i can not play it anymore :(

I played CS (and ran a server) from beta 5.2 (1999) until 7.0... then it went retail and it was just no fun anymore :(

I'm not so sure about steam anymore. They nerfed the awp and even the scout.

Steam was quite messed up last time I checked the forums(quite a while ago) there were a lot of people complaining about accounts and CD-keys, a few of my friends that actualy got steam working were having problems engaging the online mode. After getting 7000 error logs and crashing the comps recycle bin I uninstalled it, they were a bit too iron fisted with CD-Keys and how they were linked to accounts.

I don't much care for CS or any games like that, but my brother loves them.

Love it... Until the update entirly fraged the AWP, magnum. I suck at it though and If anyone needs a positive kill ratio.

i know this has nothing really to do with counter strike but its a steam game.

I installed natural selection when i had steam on that game was really good for people that dont know its like a alien vs human kinda thing, quite fun i thought

CS doesn't give me problems whatsoever. Although it's my computer, when I shoot the sound lags and my FPS goes to the 20s. It's because I'm on a piece of crap computer and need to reinstall XP. I go by the name of Lady Cardinal and I mostly play in starwars2 servers. My fav is the auto-sniper.

i havent played in a while and we were sposed to play somewhere togethr on my last forum sorry bout that. anyway i want to play again i just need to find my CD and CD key first >.> oh yea and how is the hacker problem goiung? any less more or what? i hate hackers :angry:

1. crappy graphics
2. ego-selfish poeple who think they own everyone
3. 80% of the peepz is a hackzor anywayz
4. that's why you cant trust anyone
5. engine is just to hackable
6. unrealistic as hell if you know guns *gets Desert Eagle .50AE
7. rather play Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield

Your first reason is just so lame... Graphics don't make the game... When I go to my uncle's later today I'll ask him if he still has his disk with Lemmings 1. Great game, lousy graphics though. Doesn't matter at all.

Except for the fact that they can hack that just as easily as CS... By the way Defrag, what version of CS do you play. Steam or Regular. Because Steam has a hack blocker built in. in the regular version (mainly 1.3), is where the hackers lie.

umm you know how hard it is to configure and get elfbot to work??? and with the new tcc client all configured scripts are banned anyway.... but anywayz i dont play cs anymore cauz the game has become to crappy and unrealistic for me

depends if the server yur on has valve anti-cheat.... if not you can still hack along as much as you can.... lol a csbuffy of mine was bored and used no-recoil hack just for fun... he took a ranodm serv, but what he did not know that server hes was on had valve anti-cheat so he got banned for 15 years :P

yep valve anti-cheat is the only anticheat wich at least works, dont know why so few servers have it... maybe it uses a lot of bandwith wich would slow everything down.... like steam BAHA XD

I used to play CS regularly, and really often. I played in this Swedish clan but I&#39;ve given it up now. Just isn&#39;t exciting anymore.

I played at a sleepover 2 days ago, blew up the #1 person a couple of times...then again got shot in the head more than once...

battlefield 1942 is being a great cs sub for me maybe funner i <3 planes and c4

There are at least 100+ uswest servers that are running valve anti-cheat, including mine...

Used to play in lan houses.

@Dark Bring: Yes... but only every once and a wile (dial-up blues), and not in the servers with mods. I tried it once, sombody hacked, I got angery, said some stuff, got banned for 2 weeks....

Unless you were talking about jumping and using an auto-snipe to kill someone.

no clan is highskilled unles you are participating in the world cyber games to be sure they dont hack....

really in every clan I played with one of my members was hacking ... or in a war our server found out that the enemy was hacking.... and so on and so on....

that&#39;s why I dont play in clans anymore...

that&#39;s the problem in this game..... everyone is hacking there ass off... well not everyone ofcourse

the things I hate about playing is playing against newbies.
But some times they are fun to play with :shifty:
I need a new sever to go to with a challenger to fight then the people I know :yawn:

That&#39;s so not true. I play with a clan, mostly my friends, on two different leagues & tournaments. They are both Swedish though, but I think there are other ones aswell. These are seriously and professionally planned leagues, kind of like ClanBase. (Assuming you know that that is..) I&#39;ve never met a cheating clan on either of these leagues, and we&#39;ve played over 100 matches on each. At least. I&#39;m almost starting to think you&#39;re a bit jealous of the better clans, and then call them cheaters. That&#39;s what I did 2 years ago. XD

So yeah, there are cheaters, but you don&#39;t have to play in the CPL (Cyberathletic Professional League) to meet non-cheating clans. =_=

completely aggree with ya Defrag, really I dont say anyone has true skill till i see them in a lan and playing, juts to easy to use in pubs and in cal, what is it i was reading the news the other day and a nother cal-i team got caught for cheating, just so sad, such a fun game ruined..

was reading up in this and thoguht it was gfunny where tehre are public servers just for hackers to play it, lmao round times are what like 10 secsond lol?

After a few rounds, people got the hang that I was afk, so they became careless and played around with me.. by slowly shooting me with pistols..

now i can play Half life 2 immidiately on release cause I preloaded it in steam XD

when i purchased the card i recieved a original voucher with it, wich had a original cdkey on it for halflife 2..... you can 2 things: you register @ ATI and get the game send home to ya... or ya can preregister on steam and download it straight away..... perfectly legal
