Hi all! Im not sure if I am posting in the right category but I am fairly new at piano. In Canada, I am taking my grade 3 exam so you have an idea of my level. I am looking to play slow, sad anime songs those are my favorite! I specially like Arekara from Full Metal Panic! Is that song too hard for my level or are there any other songs you can recommend? And also, the only sheet I found for Arekara was for piano and voice. Are there any sheets out there that is only for the piano, meaning it is arranged as a piano solo performance and not just as accompaniment?
Thanks in advance!

It's been a really long time since I used the conservatory system, but I'm going to give it a stab.
Bratja from Fullmetal Alchemist is a good sad song. There's a transcription here on Ichigo's, or many others out there including Sebastian Wolff's (http://sebastianwolff.info/music/) (I've played this one and it's pretty good).
Itsumo Nando Demo from Spirited Away is sort of happy/sad mixed. If you go with the non-advanced one here (http://ichigos.com/sheets/s) it might work.
If I Were a Bird from Code Geass has a music box sound to it. You can find it at Josh's (http://josh.agarrado.net/music/anime/index.php?startswith=C).
Light Lights Up For Piano from Death Note is pretty. Also linked at Josh (http://josh.agarrado.net/music/anime/index.php?startswith=D)'s.
Some of the simpler background music from Byousoku 5 cm might be good. You'll have to click through it to find the easy pieces though. Josh (http://josh.agarrado.net/music/anime/index.php?startswith=B)'s and Ichigo (http://ichigos.com/sheets/b)'s.
I also checked through some of the stuff I've transcribed and Morning Moon from Tsubasa Chronicle and Meguriai from No. 6 (minus the staccato bits) might be in the right playing range. Here (http://ichigos.com/sheets/t)and here (http://ichigos.com/sheets/n).
Not sure whether any of this is right or not but hopefully it at least gives you some ideas. :)

Wow thank you for the detailed response this is exactly the kind of thing I am looking to do. I will for sure check these songs out and will learn the easy versions with the official RCM grade 4 songs I am going to be learning hehe just wanted to learn some anime songs for personal enjoyment.
Thank you!
PS: That really popular sad song from Naruto is called Sorrow right? Would that be at my level or would that be too hard for me?
