It's super cool!!! It has people from Cardcaptor Sakura (also known as a TV show called Cardcaptors), Chobits, and many more!!! It crosses over with XXXholic, where some scenes are in on a different view. Also, something that's kind of disgusting, Makona ate an apple in one of the books, and it came out of the dark makona's mouth. It's an awsome series.

Ah, Tsubasa. I know nothing of the storyline, but I know the art is nowhere near as brilliant as it should be seeing as it's a CLAMP production. As for mixing characters, I think it's kind of cheap. You know, so they don't have to design new ones. And seeing as a lot of the different manga have different styles, they don't go too well togehter. And everyones' hands are too big in this manga.

And if *I* were you, I'd read the rules and edit my posts. I was making a judgement of the art, and what I thought of mixing characters from various manga together. I'm free to express my views, and all I'm judging is the concept and the art, which can be found easily on the internet. I think the art isn't anywhere near CLAMP's normal standard. Did another member draw the art from the normal artist?

i think, that it was creative for them to mix their characters in one story, means that they're good with them and their unique personalities...

The first time i saw this manga i thought about how tall syaroan and sakura looked. :sweatdrop:
I think its really amusing to see them mix characters, especially if you;re an avid Clamp reader. Every now and then you'd recgonize character who you'd never thought to see in a different costume and all.

I really like this manga and its counterpart (is it?). I especially liked the one with the guardians. Darn, forgot what they were called. I haven't been having my daily dose of manga in a while :heh:

Perhaps. What I was thinking was that they were using the concept of different worlds to have similar characters because they were in fact going to different worlds to search for the memories of Sakura.

Heck, even XxXHolic has quite a few references to past CLAMP manga, especially when it comes to using props. But that's going off topic.

<!--QuoteBegin-Sora
What is the storyline?[/quote]
I haven't read it in a while so I might forget quite a few names and terms. In an entirely different place, apparently called the Kingdom of Clow, Sakura, a princess, and Syaoran, an archaeologist, are sent to different worlds with two other people from two different worlds and a Mokona, which is apparently from our world (I think). It starts off with Sakura being engulfed and almost taken by some power I believe called the Tsubasa, but Syaoran stops it from happening. But Sakura has lost all memories. When they were sent to a different world, they find the Time Witch (from XxXHolic), who can grant wishes, but for a price. In order to allow Syaoran to travel to different worlds and collect the feathers of Sakura's memories, he must pay for that wish with his most prized possession, his relationship with Sakura, which means that Sakura will no longer have any memories of them being together. They go through different worlds searching for feathers and getting caught up in all kinds of things.

Please someone correct me if I got anything wrong. LOL :heh:

I've seen it ~ It's really good. :D Of course, there are some differences between the anime and the manga, but it's still quite nice. ^^; The animation's done by Bee-train, so the backgrounds and stuff remind me alot of .hack ~ And the music's by Yuki Kajiura, which is some of the best I've heard from her so far.

No, you think CLAMP is the best. I personally think they are.. okay, not really that special though. Not saying they're bad, they're good alright, but not as great as many people shout they are. Many clamp fans are typical sheep fanboys/girls. One shouts CLAMP is great, all the others hear it and just shout along... =_=

About the series: the animation looks a bit strange (weird face profiles and they all look like they have anorexia) but other than that it looks pretty decent and I think I'll enjoy watching the series, the music was pretty good (for what I've heard so far) and I can't say anything about the story yet. It's a shame they didn't use the original voices from CCS though.

I totally agree that they do looks a little weird. ^^|l Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of CLAMP but .. compared to the animation of CCS, it does looks slightly weird. To me, not very good but it's still nice.

At first, I was disappointed that they changed the voice casts but when I think of it .. Hey, Sakura and Syaoran in Tsubasa is a whole different character than the one is CCS so ... Different personality and character and of course, they're way of talking too. But I would love more if they maintain the original casts and show us how they work on 2 different type of people. ^^

I think Tsubasa was /supposed/ to be more of an itchy-sketchy anime/manga rather than a smooth, delicate one. ^^ As for me, I'm going for the older mangas before I head out for the new ones. X3 For all you CLAMP fans, I'll let you know that I'm a diehard. I'm going for every single manga they've ever published, and hopefully (someday) every anime. O-o So far I have all of Chobits on a bit-torrented DVD, all the manga, all of Magic Knight Rayearth I and II (the anime store near me just shut down so I hafta find a new place to get the DVDs), and I have Miyuki-chan on DVD and manga. ^^;; I'm going for Wish or Clover next. <3 Oh, yeah. I didn't realize that Round Table feat. Nino was that popular, with their unique use of vocals....

Tsubasa... Hmmm.. It does remind me a lot of .hack, and the storyline is, in a psudo-form, similar to .hack. Heck even the composer of .hack is thrown in (not a bad thing)! I can see that this series will either be a longer 50 episode anime or some type of huge series like Detective Conan and Inuyasha (some odd 300 episodes) that never ends.

From the first ten episodes:

Audio: 4/5 - because it will not serve everyones tastes
Animation: 4.5/5 - decent blending and mixing of colors
Storyline: 4/5 - Intresting how they use dramatic irony in the very beginning of this anime, they usually do it near the beginning
Production: ?/5 - not availible in the american region yet
Overall score: 4.5 - a nice blend of romance along with magic, fighting, and traditions. It will grab a large crowd due to the diversity of charaters, and the four-point storyline.

Looks more like the drawer is too lazy to make new character?

For your information Kurogane is a new character. It never appeared in other animes. There are also other sub-characters that never appeared in other animes.

The rumor is that this next series is going to be the last. And I must say it would be a good thing. The anime went from highly entertaining to mediocre in 50 episodes. Trying to progress it onward would only hurt the series.

That is, if they don't come up with something ground breaking, and I'm not talking about Sakura landing on top of the group each time they go to a different world.

I watched it on weekends. I don't really like the show though, it gets a little boring after a while.

It is with a bit of regret that the third season, which was supposed to air last month, is canceled due to "dark themes" and "overly violent" for the Japan TV station Tsubasa was licensed for, NHK's ETV division. The mission statement for ETV is Educational Entertainment without the use of violence or alcohol, as is designed to be family safe at all times; not much unlike Fox Family in the US. There as been no word on the season being continued due to its second season being a flop, and the actual costs to continue its production (ANN quoted anime production at about 50 000 USD per episode).

Though Tsubasa's manga production is still running.

BUT! If you're incredibly optomistic and/or naive and/or stupid, you can help raise money for the third season XD

I've heard about Clamp saying that there'll be some new animated feature for Tsubasa and XxxHolic (OVA, TV series or movie, don't know yet).

Ahh, Tsubasa.... The art is pretty clear, now, than from RG Veda, and it's much more developed. CLAMP portrays every portion of action clearly and precisely, so you can see what's going on, opposed to other manga, like Bleach (not criticizing the Bleach manga, though), whose lines are pretty unclear. The storyline makes up for anything the art lacks, if any, especially after the big, fat, heart-wrenching twist in the early 100 chapters or so. It gets even BETTER at around 150-160, at the Celes arc. This is a manga I seriously would bang my head on a cinder block 50 times to see finished like, RIGHT NOW. :D

They messed up the anime for the series by putting in a big fat filler with lots of feathers, so they're doing an OVA Called Tsubasa: Tokyo Revelations. It's from the Tokyo arc, where the big, fat, heart-twisting twist that I mentioned before is. :D It's going to be okay.... I hope...

I didnt think they did a good job in making tsubasa chronicles( 2 childish...), had an ultimate plot but the producers could have done a MUCH better job on it. Still... Sakura's kindness is desirable; and Syonara's courage and love to bring back her memories even though she wont remember him is remarkable.
