I didn't see any CS Topics, so I went ahead and decided to make my own.

If you've never heard of Cardcaptor Sakura, it's about a girl named Sakura, and her quest to find all the Clow Cards. Her companion is cute little Kero, who later turns into his full form and isn't so cute a little. Syaoran is a boy that helps her( they always address themselves with thier last names, so his name is Syaoran Li).
Tomoyo is a girl who makes funny little costumes for Sakura.

It's a great series.

yes it is! XD
lol...it was probably my first anime back like 3 year ago. but you must really understand the storyplot, appreciate the drawing and stuff or else you might find the first arc especially being very boring. its one of the few anime too that has a anime longer than its manga. and the two movies are pretty cool and in line with the series ^^

It's sort of funny how like the sixth book in manga is the very end of the Tv series

I love Cardcaptor Sakura!
The drawing is brilliant, and there is a good storyline- even though it drags on a little bit.

cardcaptor sakura inspired many people here in my place... including me.

Card Captor Sakura MORE than inspired me...it is the VERY REASON what I am today! For some reason that series had for me such an alluring power that I was instantly drawn to every aspect of it. It provided me with much-needed cerebral training that helped me greatly in many ways-including schoolwork.

Yes, as you can no doubt see, I love the series-drew me to anime, literature, music and countless other fields. Ihave thought so much about the series that I sometimes feel my knowledge of it is so saturated that many of their incessantly repeated actions like Tomoyo's videotaping have long since lost their initial charm. I will, however, remember them forever.

In short, Card Captor Sakura more or less rocks.

:D YAYY!! I LOVE THIS SERIES SO MUCH!!

It's sort of funny how like the sixth book in manga is the very end of the Tv series

ermm... you are so very wrong. The anime ends pretty much like the manga ending (well ok maybe it was a bit different) but then again i watched the orginal japanese version >_>

It is a pretty good series... ONLY the original japanese version, the english dub version ruined the series totally and the characters are portrayed so differently. Card Captor Sakura is a really nice anime, cute and wonderfully drawn ^^

yes, it is indeed a rather inspiring anime. Problem is, a lot of people get put off by its length and also its seemingly repeated storyline each episode (actually, each episode is rather different...they develop the characters slowly)

the english dub version ruined the series totally
and yes, i TOTALLY agree with that. The english version is totally crap. yet another reason why people may not like CCS. Go check out any fansite to whoever has not watched the jap version. there is a BIG difference between the jap and the english one.

I've never watched the english dub but it sounds pretty bad.. especially since they changed half the names and pronounced the names they kept wrong
I don't understand how they can turn yukito to julian and tomoyo to madison...

the first time i watched CardCaptor Sakura i was literally hooked, i don't even care about the storyline, i'm serious, all i look at is the animation. It's fabulous!
i watched it through TV so it's english dubbed...since i never watched the original one, i think it's pretty good

but now it's all repeat...from ep 1 to like ionno, repeat over and over again...so i quit

Card Captor Sakura is pretty much the only music on this site I'm trying to learn, despite my inability to play the piano. Good thing I can read music because I'm in band. Treble clef is such a pain for me, a baritone and trombone player.

Anyway, this is perhaps my favorite manga. It is very beautifully drawn and the story is unique, and apparently doesn't seem to be so based on the actual capturing on the cards. It's seems to be mainly character-based, focusing on relationships and friendships. It's as if being the Card Captor or the Mistress of the Clow is just a side-quest. That's how I saw it, and I liked how it was.

I also saw some of the animated series back when it aired on Kids WB. I didn't see much of it because I really didn't watch much TV back then (not the same anymore today) and mainly watched Pokemon and the Toonami block. And being a little kid, I had absolutely no opinion about anything so I thought everything was cool. I never realized how bad the English dub was butchered and entirely out of syndication. But I think I remember seeing the very last episode where the Hope card was created.

By the way, did anyone else notice that in the final book of the manga, not a single ounce of magic was used. Well, if Keroberos or Yui transformed, then I guess that counts as magic, but I think you know what I mean. I didn't mind it because it was nicely done. CLAMP makes the greatest stories.
