What did everyone think? I loved it personally; thought it was just the right length and the ending almost brought me to tears. I hear people asking for a second season, though if it were to ever happen, it or any spinoff of it would probably pale in comparison.

The Angel Beats story was created by Jun (his original work), and the Clannad story was created by Jun (under VisualArts/Key's production).

But I do agree P.APictures vs KyoAni is a big difference (PA's is less forceful with moé).
