Hi everyone!
I am a young composer who loves composing any piece (Especially OSTs for videos be it anime or just videos). I already have quite a number of works completed and have uploaded the MP3s here.
Do feel free to comment on it! I love reading comments because they point out areas for improvement (It is free by the way :-).
Feel free to drop by any request for my music or even for me to compose for certain events!
Cheers!

This is No. 1 of my 10 Band Studies, Aeolian Winds, composed for wind bands.
It is a piece I wrote for ear training for my own school band. :-)
Feel free to comment!

My No. 3 of my 10 Band Studies - Saint of Hope: Melody of Joy, for wind bands.
In case you are wondering where is No. 2, I compose all 10 Band Studies based on order of difficulty, not chronologically.
Saint of Hope is reflected at the feeling of hope at the glimpse of salvation which I envisaged in this piece, while Melody of Joy is the attainment of hope and remuneration over the hardship previously, and the ending melody symbolises the will to move forward despite adversities with conviction and optimism.
PS: Sorry for the weird audios at certain points of the composition. ARIA player doesn't want to listen to me T_T

No. 5 of my 10 Band Studies - Twin Hearts Movement 2, for wind bands
This is a theme derived from my impromptu compositions, in which I stumbled across this melody when I was improvising myself on my piano.
No. 4 - Twin Hearts Movement 1 is still under work I'm still trying to make it work out.
Overall, this melody was written out as a technical piece, to test the techniques of players in the band, not entirely for performance purposes.
Enjoy!

No. 6 of my 10 Band Studies - Heartbeat, for wind bands.
This piece was written mostly as an expressive piece, with solos of specific woodwind instruments.

I'm guessing you've forgotten about all those transcription requests you so willingly accepted about 5 months ago...

Nope i didn't, I figure since I have composed so much since last year it would be a waste to simply leave it dangling there so i might as well upload them here

They will be completed but not now since my 'A' level is just 50 days away. It will be completed by the first week of december or even earlier provided that I use some of my study time for transcribing during my A level period or before.

Hi everyone,
I've joined a game development group (A new one) and was assigned the music artists and might be the SFX artist (Mind giving me advice on what to do for getting these sounds I am new to SFX) so I've wrote quite a lot of work for the group and will be posting them here for everyone to listen to.
One word though, these work are not to be used without my permission as they belong to me and is to be used for games ahead. So its just for listening only.
So here are my new works:
14997
14998
14999
15000
Feel free to comment on what you think of these pieces I really look forward to them and will get back to everyone as soon as possible.
*I will not be accepting anymore transcription/arranging request because of my National Service (Conscription), so I will instead be devoting time into composing and learning my other stuff now as my time is limited due to conscription T_T.
Cheers!

Hey DunNotCome
I wish I had your sense of game tunes. I think your melodies really fit the game genre. I've only listened to Aftermath so far but I already can tell you have a good grasp on the genre.
The percussion motives seem 'tribal' and I thought that different instruments would prove to be much more effective than conventional band percussion (I thought the tapping of snare sticks - if that's what it was - could be replaced by an alternate instrument, and maybe a gong would have provided a unique timbre to the driving percussion texture). An exploration into exotic instruments would definitely give you more material and possibilities to work with.
I thought the tune near the end was lovely, and can definitely picture myself fighting hogs in some mystical forest. I think it could have a lot more presence though, a bit more expressive, and i'd wanna stay in that forest all day long.
here's an example of what i mean: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SC_qToEk8U

When I have time I'll listen to your other pieces but so far so good!

Hi PianoRaymond,
I agree with the point that the percussion motives sounded tribal. This is because I am using a very specific percussion library for that, its called Drums of War 2, which consist of Japanese drums as well as other traditional percussions. I recently got my drum set sample (Battery 3) so do look out for even epic drums. I am particular about a specific instruments inside my compositions, some of which you may hear them without knowing, its actually the recorder (Yes that instrument, because I play it as well and its a great instrument to me).
For the expression wise, I had to give it some leeway, and thus expression and phrasing is lost. This is because I do not actually have a keyboard currently to work with and is currently saving up for one so that I can solve this problem and start writing more efficiently.
Just FYI, the themes which I write on most of the time is not space or forest but of abstract and minimalist. You can relate it to Debussy's music in order to find out out how I originated this themes from. I also had influences from other VST artists like Sawano Hiroyuki (Guilty Crown's music writer) and other anime soundtrack writers.
I am using Miroslav Philharmonik for the orchestral sounds but I am swapping it for East West Quantum Leap Gold edition, as well as Garritan instruments (For euphonium, recorders and saxophone and a bit of percussion), Cinesamples Drums of War 2, Synthogy Ivory (For the piano sounds, I use 2 models Yamaha Grands and Steinway Grands) on my old computer which I think might spoil soon so I am going to get a new computer myself.
