It'd be interesting to read some unique stories of how you guys found out about Ichigo and joined. For me it's memorable.

here's how i found out Ichigo.

Okay you know when i joined...so don't need to say anything about that. I was wondering around the net looking for piano sheet music. First i found Anime Scores which i think it's great, its got great sheet music. I never checked the forum though because that time i'm not really interested in going to forum and participate, reason is that before i went to an RO forum and got left out of many events, and interesting topics because i was new comer. Well apparantly i just left that forum and well so i thought to myself...new comer in that forum get left out, maybe so does other forum as well. So i was really not interested in forums at all. Okay then i search a bit more and found Ichigo. Found some great sheet music, and still...didn't even check the forum, but i did put Ichigo in my favourites. Okay second time i went to Ichigo, i was bored as hell so i decided to surf around in Ichigo...still didn't even think of going into forum. I went to composition page and saw so many composition by YOU people, so that amazed me a lot. Therefore i decided to meet some of you COOL people. So finally i took a peek at the forum. The impression i got for the forum is that it's SIMPLE AND CLEAN. Some of you guys should know...some forums are sooooooo complex looking that just boggle your brain a lot. Ichigo forum doesn't. Well first thing i went to is MUSIC DISCUSSION and i read some of the posts and stuff. Really liked the discussions and many ideas by intellectual people. So i signed up, and i started to reply, and become more active. Well it took awhile before i start posting regularly since i WAS a new comer, but i was welcomed instead of ignored. So now i'm an active member in the Ichigo community. I guess the reason i joined is because that people in Ichigo have the love for music, just like me, and that you guys are amazing, and very friendly people ^_^

I just ended up doing a web search for "Evangelion", and stumbled across Project Eva. From there, like so many other anime fan sites, I noticed there was a forum. So, I tried the link. There was already the strong possibility (and it happened just last weekend) that I would be banned from the other forums I visit regularly. So, I always stay on the move, from forum to forum. Decided this was just another one to try, incase another admin decided they didn't like me.

well... when I got my keyboard in 2001 I was looking for sheet music from Princess Mononoke and Noir, so I naturally ended up at ichigo's former location. I downloaded a lot of sheets, joined the forums and contributed some of my own transcriptions. When Ichigo's was going down, I took over hosting of the site, and subsequently the forums.

I agree with the interesting factor ^_^

Well, anyway, you guys probably noticed that inu-chan and Des have been around here a while longer than me, though Des didn't post all that much. Anyway, most of you ALSO know that we're friends and go to the same school. And we all had one class together this semester (Mysteries of the World if you're interested). Well, Inu kept talking to us about this forum and how the people on it were so nice and how it was a lot of fun. So one day, we were in the computer labs supposably researching (obviously, this was BEFORE our school figured out we were coming here and blocked it from the school computers) and Inu was on here again, telling Des to come on as well, so she did. Then I felt all left out so I decided to come and check it out for myself and ended up joining.

Gee, wasn't that the most interesting story you've ever heard :heh: Yeah, not all that entertaining, but tis how I ended up round these parts :)

I was interested in trying to find any orchestral scores to the "InuYasha" theme-songs (still looking, too...), so I typed "Inuyasha + scores" into Google (http://www.google.com) and; after several false leads; ended up at the Sheet Music site. I then saw the link to this forum and, after exploring a bit, decided to join. Wow! Music, intelligent (usually) conversation, cute Avs & sigs! Who could ask for anything more?

Hehe, I stumbled upon Ichigos on verge of a nervous breakdown - my GCSE solo recording was a week away and it'd finally gotten into my thick head that I WASN'T good enough on the violin to be able to play Cruel Angel's Thesis and therefore I needed something much simpler :/ Cue frantic panic and trawling the net in search of free sheet music that I could learn in a week - and ta-daaaa, there was Ichigos! Reams and reams of sheet music all to myself! :D :D Sadly there wasn't a great amount of solo violin music for a poor n00b like moi, and in the end I discovered BT on animescores.com, but I didn't forget this place and I came back to get more music after my solo recording was over - and got hooked, as you do ;)

Well... after i saw Eva i needed more information, to clear some things up... i stumbled on Project Eva which is certaintly the best site. Then transfer to Anime Neko, and while there i just noticed the Ichigos link, so when Anime Neko was closed i moved to Spikyboy and at the same time joined Ichigos but since there were few people there i forgot about it for a while... basically i really enjoyed talking to people on PE so i joined here with the thought that all the old members would be here...

i kinda feel guilty since this is a musical forum and i have absolutely NO relation to music (i cant play anything, let alone compose) :sweatdrop:

well...it all started when i was looking for one of Spirited Away music...and then voila...managed to stumble my way in!!! lol

hmm i was looking for jenova sheet music for final fantasy 7 and then when i saw the sheet music request here i thought i got to join

I was just looking for sheet music in general and then I noticed a link called forums and then I decided to join just for the fun of it and now I am in this and having fun.^_^ Man I love this site isn't it fun?^_-

I must head back to Neerolyte's post. XD Mine was somewhat similar.
Probably in 2002, i was looking for the Scarlet scores (Ayashi no Ceres). Bumped into many sites, but when i finally saw ichigos, i was totally amazed by the sheer size of this "library". I started coming over to the site like nearly everytime i came online, jus tto check up any new updates. And boy did the library grow.

Not too long later, i came across the forum page. And yeah, that was how i came to know pple like Al when they didn't know me, since i was just a guest reading the forum pages :P I think i got linked (literally) into the forum to begin with, because of the comments thing Sarah posted on some of the compositions on the main site itself. From the composition page, i started to explore the rest of the forum.

Alas, even when i had thought Ichigos might just last longer than those other sites i had bumped into, suddenly Sarah started being absent for long stretches of time. And in the forum, there were also many threads regarding her, some guessing the reasons for her absence, others discussing the adminstrative problems. And finally, she posted a note on the Ichigos site saying that she would be closing it, but will leave it floating on the internet for around a week so people can download stuff. Thankfully for the forum, there were many who tried to restore the site and the forum. *Glomps Gand! Thanks Gand!! :D * At first it was a mirror site...then it became this.

A few months back, i finally decided to join the forum, seeing how friendly this forum seemed. Honestly speaking, this is my first and still only forum i am in. But i never cease to be impressed by the neat way its being run, and also the friendliness of everyone here :) Yup. so here i am, a member from a long time, yet so new. :P

I was submitting my song to the site, but after about a month had gone by without a reply, I decided to send an e-mail instead. When that succeeded, I told Sarah I&#39;d probably stick around the forum to see what it was like. True to my word, I&#39;m still here =)

Well, the typical search for music brought me to the site. Then one day, coming here, I noticed "Hey, they have a forum." I joined, didn&#39;t post much at all, then it shut down, and project-eva was up, and well, lets say I jumped from forum to forum to get here.

I stumbled upon here looking for videogame piano music. More than a perfect site&#33; (www.vgmusic.com would be perfect for videogame music itself, but not piano).

The first time I visited this site, I loved it. It was my favourite site (even to today). I knew NOTHING about forums, so when I checked out the forums, I though it was more random junk like on other websites. I knew about this sight about two months after it was created and put up on the web. So I could consider myself a veteran of the original site (besides the forums; I never liked to talk, anyway).

But after the year and a half, I heard the site will be shut down. :crybaby: So I actually copied and pasted every possible thing on microsoft word&#33; Along with other anime and game things, I called it Icons, etc. (I was originally looking for icons; don&#39;t ask, I loved anime.) I read everything and practically memorized it all. But I really hoped that the compositions would still work in Microsoft Word after the site officially shuts down. (I listened to Kawaii And Tsing - Affection the most, as well as Kumo - Clouds and Broken.) And as my head is like personal music player, I had those songs in my head almost every day after the site was shut down. The site that was part of my everyday life was gone.

The songs started to fade and go away in my head :cry: , so I only remembered Tsing- Affection, and even that was a bit off from the original, only remembering one part. (And I was VERY angry to find that the music didn&#39;t play on Microsoft Word.) And I looked up every possible thing about this website to see if it will come up again. So I gave up a week after this new one came up (stupid coincidence). So I was depressed...All until I decided to look it up again, one day before I joined the forums (I still didn&#39;t know anything about them.).

That&#39;s almost the whole story. And I got more than three viruses on my mom&#39;s now infinately crappy computer (if you can call it that), and the WHOLE THING had to be reset. Then I nearly exploded in pure anger. When I was home alone that day, I destroyed many poor plants and trees in uncontrollable anger (over 500 for cure). In the bullies post, it has more details on the anger, but besides that, I was angry to the extent of destroying a neighborhood of houses.
But now I use my dad&#39;s oh-so-awesome computer. Life is good&#33; B) (...in a way...)
Would you say I was obsessed with this site? :sweatdrop: And I made a pathetic attempt to create an Icons, etc. II, but it failed oh so horribly. :cry:

Can&#39;t remember. It involved Kou, Wraith and Angelic though. Possibly Sebow. One of them is bound to remember.

I just missed the guys at the old place, basically.

Searched on evangelion one day and ended up at project-eva.com, joined the forums there and went from there to anime-neko.net forums and then to here

I was looking for Inuyasha sheet music, and couldn&#39;t find it ANYWHERE&#33;&#33; And I saw a link to Ichigo&#39;s on Google, so I clicked on it. Even though Ichigo&#39;s didn&#39;t have the one I wanted, it gave a link to the site that did, and since the forums were really cool, and everyone was so nice, I decided to join&#33;&#33; ^_^ He he, not the most interesting story in the world, though&#33; :heh:

Hm.. long story made short;

While doing a search for NGE pics to use for an avatar (in another forum now long dead (_ _) ), I ended up at Angelic&#39;s Pro-Eva.. just thought I might sign up the forums there, and since then I&#39;ve tagged everyone all the way to here :heh:

I&#39;ve been visiting Ichigo&#39;s Sheet Music for quite some time, even though I have zilch musical talent. :heh: Then, after a while (on the new domain) I decided to sign up. It took some time to get settled here, but now Ichigo&#39;s Forums is my favourite web haunt.

I was looking for sheet music for "Goodbye Julia" (cowboy bebop) and stumbled upon ichigos. I noticed they had a forum and I joined.

But it was ppl like Gand, Azn_Joe, Ayanami, Wraith and Pocatoes(hehe) and everyone else I befriended that made sure I stayed...^_^

hehe yep i mean once you have like couple friends on a forum, especially a great forum like this, who wouldn&#39;t wanna stay eh?

It was the beginning of 2003 when I did a search for Madoka&#39;s Piano Files music.. and there it was Ichigo&#39;s, the home of the most wonderful site ever created ^^ since I loved it so much, joining the forums was pretty much a given..

wow, what could I say. These people were the nicest I&#39;ve ever seen ^^ immediately declared it my new home.. I didn&#39;t post nearly as much as some people, but I was there ^^; I spent the time there with everyone until it closed down.. that was quite a day hey?

I used this site a lot before, when it had ichigosmusic.com (was that it?). When it got a new forum, I decided to sign up. And now I&#39;m totally integrated, see?

It was a dark night and I was looking for sheet music to my favorite game, Kingdom hearts. I immedeatly fell in love with and have gotten all of my sheet music from here ever since

i was looking for some old anime sheet music when there was a link on someone&#39;s site (can&#39;t remember) then i just, click&#33;

hehe, basically the same as everyone else- looking for sheet music. This was my first forum actually, so I wasn&#39;t really sure what to do at first, but since ichigo&#39;s is such a nice community, it was pretty easy for a forum newbie to fit in.

that seemed like years ago though... ^^

I was looking for some sheet music and I found this site...For days I would just look at the music...Then I saw this forum and saw the Sheet Music Requests, so I joined at requested some music...For 2 months I never came back until today&#33; :cheers: I&#39;m back and I&#39;ve lost my love for the anime, Inuyasha...

Well lets see...I have been going to Ichigo&#39;s Sheet Music for years to find sheet music because it was my favorit site&#33; ^_^ Well....one time I noticed the link Forums and thought....thats new....anyways I clicked on it and joined but that was in April....lol.....So I decided to make a new member because I never used my last one...but anyways I have been here along time in a way.....^_^ Oh and I found the sheet music site by typing a bunch of stuff into google&#33; Lucky me...lol....^_^

^ Same with him, got the Ichigos Sheet music off a friend, coz my friend goes to there often, I joined the old forum a bit, when it got closed down, I sorta stopped, until recently...2 days ago actually ^^" found the link on friend&#39;s blog.

Spoonpuppet was creator and owner of the original Ichigo&#39;s. ^^
But after a certain time after its shut down Gand has generously decided to host the site and new forums for us. :heh:

My sis wants to hear that I play Madoka&#39;s Piano Files, so I was searching for sheet music at Google. And Google dropped me at this site and I joined the forums, so here I am :P

I was at the Gaia Online forums and I started a topic about the opening music to Evangelion. Then someone mentioned this website and when I came, I was hooked. Finally, my somewhat limited musical talents could be used for something fun. I&#39;m here just about everyday, mostly just to listen to the MIDIs. I decided to join the forums because it looked like a fun place to chat with other people with similar interests.

Now...I just need to take piano lessons, like I&#39;ve always wanted. Good thing reading music isn&#39;t too hard for me.

Technically speaking Spoonpuppet owns the site and Gand hosts it for her and updates it too... soo... Gand is working for Spoon :D

Let&#39;s just say that Spoon created the whole thing and Gand&#39;s maintaining it these days, it&#39;s a bit vague to decide who owns it... It belongs to all the anime sheet lovers =P

@Gand: they actually had an annual update in December, I say, Animescores is the worst sheet music site ever. They just so suck XD unmotivated owner too <_< At least they removed the "OMG I NEED A MUSIC PLAYER" fund raising thing. Talking about animescores, I say we remove them from the links section, they don&#39;t even have a link section anymore.

yeah somehow she actually made money from that, maybe I should try... :think:

...or not XD although donations (http://ichigos.com/donate.shtml) are always appreciated, which will always go toward the cost of hosting Ichigo&#39;s and the forums, not some stupid mp3 player. <_<

That really sucks that they removed the links section. That was one of the top referrers to Ichigos. Before I remove it I want to see if we can work something out, because (forums notwidthstanding) animescores has some good content and it would be beneficial for both us and them to have crosslinks.

Well I found out about this because for some reason links kept sending me back here. It was starting to get annoying because I couldn&#39;t find the links to the actual music sheets.Then I actually read parts of the forum (why send me to the forum?). Some comments really pissed me off so I had to say something. (sense of justice kicks in :think: or maybe because i don&#39;t like arrogant know-it-all type people).

Now i just want to brush up on my composing skills so that I can reach the level I was never motivated to be at until I listened to the elite of the composers here :angry: grrr (fighting spirit) ......you guys think i&#39;m crazé enough yet? :blink: :heh:

I rent a colocated server in a datacenter in Florida for &#036;60/mo, which I host several sites on. Ichigos.com is the biggest and uses the most bandwidth by far.

It was sorta by accident. I was like looking for Naruto Sheet Music on GOOGLE for the song "Wind" and I found it here and looked around and thought "This place is pretty cool" so yeah.

One of my friends downloaded some sheets from the old Ichigo&#39;s and I wanted to see what else this site had, but the Ichigo&#39;s wasn&#39;t on the cjb.net url anymore so I couldn&#39;t get on. I asked her where she got the sheets from and she said that it was from a site that went down a long time ago. I proved her wrong with Google :shifty:

at first i thought this was just like any music sheet site i&#39;d encounter in the past...but something at the left-hand corner caught my attention..."anime score, game score, the usual alright, umm...composition?" ok, that&#39;s something new.

so, i was like, gave it a look n was surprised to see the large library of songs, n immediately after listening to some, i was like, &#39;wow&#39; :D

I typed in anime music and it poped up with the main site. After a month or so, I found out there was a forum. I didnt know what a forum was (this was my first forum) so I joined and here I am!

Same way as most of the other people here, through a simple music search. I forget what I was looking for, exactly, but...I suppose I found it. I joined the forums just for the hell of it. Why I am still here? I have no idea.

I was at my best friends house and while we we're playing on his computer his sister started playing "To Zanarkand" on his piano. I freaked out and demanded him to tell me where the sheet music came from and he brought me here.

I wanted to learn some Japanese words because my brother, who is a member here, sometimes talks to me in Japanese. I demanded him where he got the Japanese words and he said that he got it here. So then, he went on this website and found the place where there were some Japanese words and translation. Then, I found the website cool and joined.

There's this BBC documentary called Japanorama hosted by Johnathan Ross, and a second series started not too long ago. One episode was completely dedicated to Otaku... and well... it was quite strange, lol. And dang it, I can't find it on youtube ^^

it does mean you're obsessed, but if you're obsessed you probably won't care what they say.
It's hard when you're ostracized in japan... but it happens a lot. I think the saying I was told is "you may look like us, you may talk like us, but you'll never be japanese"
If you aren't from Japan (meaning having some immediate family in Japan) it's hard to seek acceptance.

For the record -.-; my friend tried to become an otaku because of the show densha otoko and I had to hit him with a hammer... please don't try to be one.

Well ... like the most here, I found Ichigos when searching for sheet music.

I started playing more music from anime and stuff in my free time so I needed sheet music, and around that time I started composing too ...... at ichigos you got both, and all the people are so nice here...so I started composing more in my free time, because of the great and nice tips people give.

Ichigos is great 'cause of the warm community here...that's how I feel about it.;)

This is a bit awkward (wedging in between truth and lies), but I came to this site looking for some final fantasy sheet music, then came across the composition section and started experimenting with the people... as in making music along with other ichigo's composers.

This is a nice place. This is the first online community that I had joined like Taemond and honestly it's the only online community that I have joined (besides like FB, Xanga, and Deviantart). Good memories here, and some bad ones.... but good memories are overrated without the bad ones.... and I think I learned my lesson.... and I think we all did.

Well, I did help quite a bit with all of it, and there was quite a foundation of users that followed my example, regardless of good or bad, like the one time that I created a template post asking users of Ichigos to go to <site> because one of <site>'s users was trying to drive traffic to their site. Or the Wolfgoddess Saga. Or the Cody/Heather situation. And the epic debates between Dark Bring and Elite666 for the sake of debate. You attacked from one angle, I went from the other.

We did have a facebook page, but I think it was nuked a long time ago (but it still exists (https://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=157197337656505)). Kinda like our space up on wikipedia that was nuked because we were a "minor" site.

Hm... I was on Ichigo's for music back in my 7th/8th grade year. But by the end of the year, I found out this site had a forum and joined in it. Still loving this site~ :)
