Whether you decide to go for accuracy, or be creative and reinvent a song, or even if you make a medley of a bunch of songs, they all qualify to enter. You can transcribe a new piece just for this competition or you can pick an old transcription you've done in the past, it doesn't matter! Anything goes when people compete their, "My Best" arrangements.

Rules:

1. Piano solo only!
2. Pick ONE of your original transcriptions/arrangement to enter into this competition. This transcription can be something you newly transcribe or an old transcription you had done years ago.
3. All entries must include at minimum an audio of your transcription, the sheet music of your transcription AND an audio of the original.
4. ONLY ONE REVISION IS ACCEPTED TO THE ENTRY!! (So pick wisely;))
5. Deadline is December 1, 2012.

This competition will be judged based on forum vote!

Good Luck!

P.S. As always, all entries are to be made directly on this thread and a new thread will be created for voting.

Yes, this was done to minimalize the bias on the sample library at everyone's disposal.

Wow, great ^.^

I'll try with my transcription of the Tapion's Theme from Dragon Ball. At first, I did this video to explain the chords progression and the chords substitution (this is why the title contains the word "tutorial"). I included an improvisation, then I wrote the sheet music. As the video was made for this subject, There is a lot of explanation, so I hope this submission complies with the terms of this contest ^_^

The submission :

This sounds fun! I'll submit the Title Theme from Seiken Densetsu: Legend of Mana (聖剣伝説)

I used this video for another arrangement competition on SquareSound a while ago. It's over three years old, but I still regard it as one of my best arrangements. I combined the original version (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBeMTXZ56XY) with the one from Yoko Shimomura's Drammatica album (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrGetw-7byo)

For the sake of fun, I will just screw myself and post my digital version of an arrangement based on the theme of GUNDAM SEED OST IV - Tachiagare! Okori Yo! [Stand Up! My Anger!]. It was a choice piece in the previous Transcribing Competition. So here you have it, hope everyone will enjoy it!

Do let me know how you feel thanks a lot!
