GTA san andreas IS the best....the graphics..the gameplay...hours upon hours of gameplay...not like those other lousy games...you dont have to do the missions....hours of fun just running around shooting people!

wow, random shooting and running over of people. sounds like insane fun. oh, and beating old ladies to death with double-ended dildos?

in fact, i'm not impressed at all with the entire GTA series. it centers around car stealing, hit-and-run, random shooting, all with next to no consequences. i'm not against violence or anything, but it's portraying an apparently realistic world very close to our own, leading some to merge it with their perception of our world. not exactly stuff like "it's ok to kill people", but like "police are incompetent", "you can get away with anything", "people won't die from being run over by a car", etc.

now that my ethics rant is over, the game plain sucks. maybe it appeals to some people's enjoyment of senseless violence, but i prefer something with some kind of thought put into it.

i for one love senseless violence....

The graphics are incredibly poor for San Andreas, but at least this time I tried to develop an overall story, which was albeit impressive. A good attempt, and a good fun game while it lasted...

...but Sinbios does bring up a few good points.

I'm sorry, but GTA3 and GTA:VC were much better than San Andreas, much more interesting...

not that I'm a big fan of GTA anyway, I mean the game is crap ten times over. and I heard that alot of parents are getting upset by the game and that they might re-rate the games and make them AO(Adult Only 18+)

A reasonably fun one, though Vice City was better, if only those ddr type bits werent in it, that mission where you have to do one to progress was murder if they must put it in make it a side thing not needed to further the story, nice to have planes that actually can be flown though, no wingless dodod's this time. I just hope that any future ones come out on a system that can actually handle them, the amount of pop up I've encountered is just awfull, one time the road vanished from beneath me as I sped around the city

I think the GTA games are probably the most overrated games to come out in recent history. Sure they're fun and good games but they also have way too many problems to consider them the best. The on foot gameplay is inherently flawed due to a horrible aiming system and a bad camera. The graphics range from excessively bad to pleasantly mediocre. Perhaps the worst thing of all is that the actual game, the missions, isn't all that much fun. It's quite enjoyable to just go around killing things and stealing cars but when the actual game elements a developer puts into a game doesn't work at all I don't think it could ever be considered the best.

When GTA: San Andreas is constantly rated higher than Halo 2, Metroid Prime 2 and Half-Life 2 there is something very wrong. GTA3 deserved its critical accolades because it did something new and was quite good for the time. After Vice City and San Andreas it's obvious that Rockstar doesn't plan on doing anything new or even fixing problems that were in the original formula.

Sure it was good, but if you got stuck in the country without a vehicle it could be come tiresome,
the only real revolutionary improvment is that the world constantly creates the chunk of world that you are in thus there are no loading screens

yea i see the points you all have....BUT...im not really into games like the metroids....i respect your opinion Sinbios Zefiris Ark but the game is rated mature so you have to realize its only a game and that its meant for entertainment, not a practice for what your going to do in the real world...
