I've finished 6 mangas and have seen the first 2 episodes and I love it. Yuhi would have to be my favourite... or Aki. ^^ Tohya bothers me, though. Who else has seen it? Did you like it?

I've only read the manga... which I absolutely love. :D

I've seen the trailer for the anime, which looks pretty good, but I haven't got my hopes up for it to be as good as the manga though.

The anime isn't up to par with the manga, but it's still good. The manga was awesome. Anime est assez bien... The anime is so so next to the original, but most things are like that.

I'm up to the halfway point.. I must say it's a good one
I have to say the development is a little slow for my taste.. oh well, characters are cool so far, and the general sadness is nice ^_^

*hugs the op song*

I heard that he was one of those characters you either hate or love... >.>

Does anyone ever notice that Yuu Watase has her characters save the heroine early on, and someone close to them betrays them?

aaand...the 2 main characters [male and female] get infatuated with each other in like 2 episodes...*ahem* ^^6
i guess they fall in love pretty fast. :heh: talk about love at first sight. XD

toku - whoa...you're right. 0.o in Fushigi Yuugi...Yui "betrays" Miaka, [more like she was brainwashed...but whatever. n.n;;] in Ayashi no Ceres...i guess it was the whole family that betrays Aya, in Alice 19th...Mayura kind of deceives Alice, [even though it wasn't her fault] and [i've only really a [i]little] in Imadoki...Kyougo is really mean to Tampopo...but that just because he doesn't wanted to ruin his rank in school. i guess. i don't know. kekeke...
welp...not all have someone like that though. ^^6

but yah...i just realized that. n.n

nightmare-san :: Well, I'll describe as briefly as I can as not to spoil it and I hope that my description would be accurate. Sorry if it's not. ^^|l

It's about a girl, Mikage Aya who is 16 years old. On her 16th birthday, she was told that she is the inheritance of a legendary maiden. However, her family tried to kill her as to prevent the maiden inside her to submerge.

I hope that helps. :sweatdrop:

Ceres is the SADDEST anime i've seen so far. I still like Fushigi Yuugi though.

Ceres is a kind of girlish anime, but what i'd like tos ay is that the anime rocks. i personally loved it. i only read d first volume of the manga, ^-^

but i loved the series still. the music was great! love it! especially Mugen no Kaze the song from d concert!

i like most of the characters der, cept the old maid, she gives me the creeps at first, i kept on calling her fishlips! :heh: sry if i disturb ne1 wid dat!

Ayashi No Ceres has been one of my favorite animes for the longest times...that is until I watched Hellsing. Mwah ha ha ha.

Ayashi No Ceres is very very good. I own four manga and watched three episodes somewhere in the middle of the series and the last six episodes. Which was sooo sad, I cried.

Ayashi No Ceres I think is one of Yuu Watase's best work, other then Imadoki and Alice 19th because those too are very awesome. Personally I didn't like Fushigi Yuugi much. Ayashi No ceres is more dark then the others. I mean there is lots of blood in some episodes and we all love Toya! But then again I love Aki and Yuuhi too. As well as Chidori, Suzumi and Ceres. I think Yuu Watase created some very good characters in this anime. I didn't like Aya's dubbed voice though, it got on my nerves after a while. But all of the other characters voices suited them perfectly. I was happy with that. ^_^ Now I'm just waiting to save up some money so I can watch the reincarnation episodes. I wanna know what happens!

hehe... Ayashi no Ceres has gotta be my favourite anime. The art in it is just incredible (very manga-like) and the story is really beautiful. I've only seen the anime, though... I'd love to read the manga, but I can't find it anywhere :( It isn't available to buy in Australia and the only downloads I've found were of the 6th and 7th volume.... :(

I'm really interested in learning more about Imadoki and Alice 19th. Did they ever do animes for them? Or only mangas? I've got the Fushigi Yuugi anime at home, but I don't like it as much as Ayashi no Ceres. AnC was a bit more powerful and didn't get repetitive like Fushigi Yuugi did... (I got sooooo sick of everyone thinking they'd been raped........ =_=)

Was there ever an AnC OVA? or OAV (whatever you call them :\) It was such a beautiful show.... And I loved learning more about Touya - he was cool :) I did feel sorry for Yuuhi, though - and Aki. It was all quite depressing and sad...... But I loved the way that they were able to combine mythology with modern science.. That was cool ^^*

Lala.... The music for Ayashi no Ceres is beautiful, too.... I always play that opening song on piano.... it's addictive :D

I don't think they got anime out for Imadoki or Alice 19th yet. But I hope they do. I've almost completed reading the whole Alice 19th series. Only one more manga comic to go. And I've only just started reading imadoki. I got the first two manga comics. They are both really good. Alice 19th is more like Yuu Watase's original stuff with the magic and the romance and the comedy and stuff. But Imadoki doesn't have the fantasy aspect like all of her other works have. But it's still really good. It's different but I like it. It's hilarious. I advise all you Yuu watase fans out there to read both of these awesome mangas.

don't wanna get the site in trouble X_X

lala... I've been reading Imadoki, btw - it's really good ^^* I'd recommend it to most people. It's a sweet romantic type thing, but what I most like about it is that the main character, Tanpopo, doesn't really fit the usual personality style to which it seems most female anime/manga characters are moulded. She isn't abusive, she doesn't obsess over her body, she isn't a cry-baby, she isn't over-the-top cutesie (think Shippou.... from Inuyasha), and she doesn't need rescuing all the time!

Sound good? Actually, the story's all about Tanpopo and how she comes from her small country town to an expensive private school in the city as an exchange student. The other (paying) students are complete snobs and look down on Tanpopo because she doesn't have the right "breeding".... But rather than letting that get her down, Tanpopo stays cheerful and optimistic, determined to teach these snobs that friends are good to one another and that being mean isn't the right way to solve your problems.

:P

I think it's her optimism that I really like. But it's a great manga to teach you something about friendship and how you can deal with problems without needing to become defensive or resort to violence. And the art's simply divine! (Though I don't know what else you'd expect from Yuu Watase.......)

Anyway, everybody go read Imadoki! From what I've read, it's really good (and very sweet.......)

ta! Lina ^^*

whoops =_=

it seems to have turned into a more "Yuu Watase" oriented discussion.......

I *do* really love Ayashi no Ceres, though... But it'll be years and years before the manga gets released here..... From what I've seen though, the art in the manga and anime seem to be pretty similar, which makes me glad - because I loved the art in the anime.

Can anyone tell me how much the anime skips out? Storyline-wise, I mean... I'm just curious, because, to me, the anime flowed preeeetty well, with only a few bits that seemed like they needed more detail. I still loved the whole concept, though, I just wish I could've learnt more about Touya!
