Wat do you think?

I only read the last (5th) book of the trilogy, but i really liked it. So humourous...

Definitely one of the best books I've read. Carry a towel with you at all times! XD

How can a Trilogy have five books?

That's a good point, actually. o_o;; There's a convoluted explanation in the copy I have, to the effect of " . . . well, it was supposed to be a trilogy, but . . . "

I got this for my birthday. It's kind of destroyed now (OK, my things are never too well looked after), but I enjoyed reading it. I thought the ending sucked, though. But that's just me. -_-

The ending . . . well, you can't please everyone, but I've yet to find many that appreciates the ending of this series.

An excellent set of books, or if you have the collected one an excellent huge book sort of, unless you have the colected first 4 & got mostly harmless eperatly that is. I think Douglas Adams being British probably contributed to the ongoing trilogy idea once it hit 4 books, if memory serves So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish was subtitled 'the fourth book of the hitchiker trilogy' & then mostly harmless was 'the fifth book in the increasingly inacuratly named hitchikers guide trilogy' so the tongue was firmly in the cheek on that one. Now if only the long rumoured remake/film/whatever would get done, though there has been a new bit of the radio show recently

Well, I'd really like a complete radio set . . . wonder how the SFX's like. ^__^

Haha, the FX are funny - a lot of them were the same ones used in the TV series. So eighties but still really good XD Apparently a movie is being made at Elstree(?) Studios this year...

Ahhhh, you must love the Guide. All bow down before it. Unfortuantely, my brother nicked off with the whole series when he moved out, and then it got 'stolen' from him, so if I wanna own them again, I have to buy them. I got the Restaurant at The End of the Universe at the mo, but none of the others.

simple. He first wrote only 3 books, so everyone called it a trilogy.

Then he went and wrote two more books, each time joking on how a trilogy can now have 5 books XD,

"The book that gives a whole new meaning to the word trilogy" (on the cover of book 5)

"The Increasingly Inaccurately named Hitchhikers Trilogy" XD

I read all five 2 years ago and fell in love.
I've honestly never laughed so hard over anything in my life.....
This christmas I was given all 5 books! ^_^
*soo happy*
I've read four of his other books too (The Salmon of Doubt, Last Chance to See <- reeeaaallly good!, and both Dirk Gently books.)
Actually...I own all of those books now!
^_^
All I have to get now is The Meaning of Liff and The Deeper Meaning of Liff.
I'm going to pick up the Hitchhiker Radio Scripts and his biography too.

My uncle saw a preview for The Hitchhikers Guide movie when he went to see Lemony Snicket.
My brother and sister saw posters when they were at the theatre too...

Can't wait.....
