my sister got a bass guitar for christmas and she wants me to help her learn to play it...

does anyone have a chart for bass guitar fingerings?
also if someone could explain how to read bass tabs that would be helpful...(i dont play string instruments and ive never seen tabs in my life X_X)

Well I'll just explain quickly how to read a base tab :D

Here is a tab for example

The bottum line (E) is the top string on the basb
So in other words the second from under (A) is the second from the top on the basb and so on

Ok now that we got that down you should be able to see what string your on.

Secondly is the number. They represent the Frets on the guitar (look at the pic If you don't know what a fret is). So If there is a 1 on the E line on the tab you should press the top string on the first fret. For every letter you press on the mentioned fret and play the string once
