Alright, this is the first song I've posted. It's not to be taken seriously because I used some of the wierdest instruments I could find. Enjoy!! ^_^

Ah, finally a fun song ^^ I don't mind the quirky instruments at all, they add to the whole flavour! Your melody and harmony all work out quite nicely! You could have done some even funkier stuff to the ending though. But really nice piece over all =)

Hi!

I liked it! I think it was great! I did picture though, perhaps a bit of syncopation or jazzing up the melody in the middle section...it seems to have that sort of style with the instrumentation and all, but again, i liked it alot ;-)

Aside from those really high-pitched parts it's pretty good.
Well, better than I could do at any rate. ;)

It sound like a wake up music for sleepy person like me :P
especially that loud first note...eh not really good to start like that in my opinion.
but it's great for modification as the melody is pretty good

Keep it up, Carnival! :D

I like the theme, but the drone instrument(s) do become a bit overbearing over the melodious choir part. :)

I can't understand at all which instruments you used in it, but it sounds good! It's a bit short, and maybe you could've done a bit more with it, i.e. put more bridges between themes, restate theme in minor, etc. However, it was enjoyable nonetheless.

Sounds very old school VG to me! ^_^

Song 1 is very enticing. ^_^ 8/10

Song 2 shows a completely differnet side about you that I really like, and I found this a much more enjoyable listen then Song 1. 8.6/10.

I really liked your beginning and ending, but not your middle section. The harmony was too empty for me, and it didn't move anywhere. Good job overall nevertheless.

Yeah, I thought the middle was lacking something too.

Okay three new songs. It's for some stupid school thing.

Anyway, here's the first one. It's supposed to be like a battle theme, but it's not that intense.

#2. This one is called the courthouse. It's supposed to be like an event from this book, so...yeah

#3. This is the theme for one of the characters. It's supposed to be really light-hearted

Good job Carny. I think I know what had in mind when you made the courthouse theme. Very suiting for that scenario. Keep it up. :D

Battle Theme:
How about adding some drums? Maybe that would make it more intense? Anyways, maybe it's more suitable to an "adventure" than a "battle"? Just a thought, heh . . oh, and I think you should add a melody, otherwise, it's just some "chords" =)

Courthouse:
I agree with Lord Pent, it sounds very suiting. Oh, your ending! I liked how you repeated that section, going faster and faster, but just a suggestion: how about instead of just ending it on that chord, you build upon it in the same fashion, but moving up or down, to lead into that final chord?

Theme:
While it's very light and cute, you have to do something about the repetitive chords =P

i liked the Battle theme. it is definitely something i can listen to when i'm battling something. there were some parts that was awkward with chimes other than that i liked it. i'll give it a 7.5/10.

i like the intro. it reminded me of final fantasy ix. its got that... old and yet very innovated feeling to it. well done. oh by the way.. does this song have a loop.. cause it kinda short.

I liked it, but how about some background instrumentation to fill up the times when the main melody isn't being played?

ummm.....yeah, I would have written more but I was pressed for time. If I ever tried to do something with it I would extend it and add bridges and stuff.

Theme 2:

Sounded very Uematsu-esque to me, for some reason. :) The constant bass notes would appear to cloud the melody, but I don't think they're overbearing. However, I would consider upping the volume of the violin solo a bit. For some reason, this song reminds me of tapping Morse Code! :heh: The violin melody seemed to be a bit fragmented for some reason, but maybe that was because of its low volume. This is truly RPG music, IMO! :) I can picture leaves rustling from a tree and two archnemeses duking it out in the background, staring each other down before the final strike is made. I'd pursue elongating this song, if I were you. I believe it's very good! Quite a different style from mine, I must say. :) Perhaps at some point, you should change chords? I think it'd have a dramatic effect, considering that the bass line is playing the same base note of the triad every measure. However, it still fits as is.

Good job!

This is an arrangement of the legend of zelda overworld theme I made. There are no drums because I haven't really figured writing for drums yet
Also, I didn't use dynamics in this version because it really screws up the sound. So the main melody isn't very clear. Other than that, I like it!

I like the harmony, syncipation, and the general feel of the song. It's good stuff. I love how the independent lines roll over each other. But just one thing. When it comes to remakes/remixes you should either do it first, or do it better than the original. This piece retained a whole lot of the same elements as the original. I mean, it's still good, but it doesn't really attract the attention it deserves because of that. I would try using some of those techniques you did so well with with an original melody.

I agree . . I found that the best part was near the end, when you did some stuff that was a bit different from the original. That's what makes it interesting, and that's what makes your arrangement stand out from all the others =)

Wow, it's been a while. Anyway, I was just kindda messing around with these two melodies and made this. The second part is supposed to be for piano but I put it in this.

Your rhythm is almost non-conventional, and I like that, keeps me on my toes. Interesting, soon after the intro, your piece developed a medieval feel =P Even though you're using a limited number of instruments, I'd still like to hear more of the harmony in the parts where the chords are bare . . oh, I loved the ending, how you snuck that last bit in!

I think the rhythm is normal. Its good though. The harmonies are good. Nice work!
