Here (http://alphatrance.com/0engine/misc/azudai.gif)'s a little snippet from a song I'm transcribing for flute. I don't play it myself, though, so I thought I'd ask for help-- I don't know what you can or can't do on the instrument, so I'm just wondering if it's actually playable the way I've transcribed it...

Especially curious about the grace notes-- is it easy to play that fast on a flute?

This (http://alphatrance.com/0engine/misc/azudai.mid) is what it sounds like. If you've seen Azumanga Daioh, you'll probably recognize the music :D

I'm not a flute player, but the range is correct s'long as you don't go under middle C anywhere else in the piece :) All woodwind instruments can do trills so I don't think grace notes would be a problem... but don't quote me XD

no way is that too low, i diss agree with the perscribed view that flute peices nedd ledger lines :bleh:

BTW: are those grace notes surpose to be appogiatura accacciatura? coz ive notice in alot of modern compositions that people are getting lazy

Heh, Sinbios is right, I think... the original piece _is_ an octave higher :D

it may be a little low for beginners
?
Are lower notes harder to play?

The second, I think. But what do you mean by 'lazy'? I'm not quite sure I understand :P

Yup, lower notes are harder, but all of yours are further up the stave so don't think there'll be any problems :)

not until you get below a G, so currently it's a very standard/medicro range. a beginner will be able to play it fine. however, transposing it to the right octave wouldn't make it insanely hard either, since flute fingers don't really get wacky until the high F.

avoid having flute playing low notes, low notes and flute don't mix.

Edit: in a sound perspective, it's not that good because it's thin when it reaches low note

actually, as long as you can maintain good focus, it's a very soft and fuzzy sound. very nice.

As a flutist myself, as forthe notes, it's playable, but for me to play it as fast as the midi will requuire me to be superman XP because I'm not the best flutist.

Low notes are indeed harber because of the shift of flow of air, so far, I can only make my low notes sound really weak, you can barely hear mep laying my low notes.

Any low note that goes past low G on the flute is really hard to play (and doesn't sound that good) . (I still can't play low C :heh: ) Really high notes don't sound that good, also, however.

give it a couple years; it just needs a more focused air stream.
