I'm planning to buy and/or download Noir but before I download it, I wanna know what people think of it. But from what I heard so far, it seems pretty good.

It's pretty good. Kind of slow and you should have a good attention span, because otherwise, it'll get boring. It has pretty good character development and plot.

it does start out kind of slow, but the great part is every episode is cooler than the last! this is by FAR my favorite anime series!

Noir was ok but nothing special, Mireille kind of looks like a cheap slut or something, how-do-I-get_my-skirt-shorter-than-short?

I liked Noir, until my mind was like "yuri undertones?" I tell you my mind has been brainwashed by society. But other than that, which creeped into my mind...it was a decent anime. Nothing is really tied together until the end. Each episode is a different mission kind of thing. It is kind of slow, but I just endured it because I paid for the DVDs...not expensive (the amount I paid only about $20 or something like that). Other than that, it's rather well done with Yuki Kajiura (I think that's how to spell it. A bit off today...-_-) doing the music...

haha, i thought kirika was one of the coolest characters ever.... and the music is good... really unique... it's like Petite Cosette...

Noir... I quite liked it personally, however, it can seem very very slow at times. But the music is great, and some of the characters are really cool. But it also suffers from bad guys who can't shoot a standing target 6 metres away (a la episode #1).

Also funny that there wasn't a single drop of blood in the whole anime, except for one time.

Well, that wasn't such a bad thing. You can get anime series which are really graphic with blood and gore, which is a total distraction from the plot and characters.

Maybe, but shooting hundreds of men without a single drop of blood looks stupid. I'm not saying that the brains should be splashing around the room, but a little blood as in "Look, I'm actually hit there" wouldn't be unwelcome~

I've only seen the first DVD, and I love it. People say that you have to force yourself through the first few episodes, much like a good book, but I'm really enjoying it so far.

Definitely cool but I don't have much of a frame of reference for Anime. Starts a little slow but it hits its stride at about the 10th episode. Some of the best most unique music I've heard.
