Ok, well composers have their own threads, so resident artists can set up threads here to showcase recent artwork. :D Like the composition threads, please comment and critique. Artists need it just as much as composers to improve their work.

I'll get my thread started with this sunset captured over the LA basin:

January 18th 2005 - Sunset over LA (http://solsar.com/gallery/74)

The most amazing sunset I've seen recently. It was hard to do the sunset justice on "film". I tried to capture not only the vivid colors of the clouds, but also the contrast with the dark mountains and cities below (in the distance is Santa Monica, the one with the lights at the end is downtown LA. The bit of smog over the basin intensifies the colors.

yeah... that's the problem with sunset shots; they are really pretty but there's no soul to them. I need a model to stand as a silhouette in front of the sunset, to give it subjectivity...

or a handy plant (http://solsar.com/gallery/72/1)! you don't have to pay them XD (taken a few days before)

Re the plant ones - they're nice, though when you next do a shoot see if you can have a bit more space above the plant heads? It frames it a bit better :) Fantastic shooting though - have you entered any competitions with these?
