Well when it comes to real marriage, I'll have to say that I agree with Squiggle on her age range. I wouldn't mind a girl a couple years younger or older than I am but I'd be a little uncomfortable with one who was still a teen when I'm 23.

With that said, other people can have wonderful marriages with age differences nearing 6-7 years. Hey, even my grandparents are like that. (Now some celebrity marriages: 45 with 20-somethings, thats disgusting)

But online... does it really matter who you are fake married too? All your relationship is is conversation over a forum. And if both of you are able to adequately communicate to each other I see no problem. (This isn't the most important decision in your life you know)

That said I'm happy having my virtual self being an single guy.

Uh, yeah, this is all fake and for fun but really. Most people do actually *talk* to their hubby/wifey. I personally find that anything over two years age difference is too much to have a real conversation.
But meh. I've not been married once yet, it's not that big a deal. That's why I feel comfortable actually placing restrictions on it and not just saying yes to the first 12 year old that asks. Because I don't really mind if it takes a long time.

Well, it's not that I'm pretty much putting this whole thing to waste for fun and games. I do get to talk to some of these people on a more personal level, not intimatly or anything, but on a close friend level. I think you and I have an entirely different idea on what this game is for.

I see this game as a very good chance to get to know some of the people on here on some levels not possible with just being, hi there, how ya doing, on aim or just replying to one or two of their posts. Not to find someone as a possible person to acually like in 'that' manner, or reasons to flirt with each other.

Maybe it's just the fact that I'm the type of person to like anyone, and be able to converse to people of any type in a meaningful manner than just crappy small talk (given that the person I'm talking to is willing to also do the same).

If you wish to use this game for any other reason, all power to you.

Um, Dead Panda I think you are misunderstanding me. We both see this game as the same thing. I just have a belief, backed up by experience, that you can't really have meaningful conversations with people who aren't close to your own age. Do not think for one second that I am trying to find someone I like in 'that' manner from this.

It all comes down to how similar you are. When you are younger there is more of a difference between ages. Like mysterjw said, when you are older it is much more similar. This is the reason that marriages between people who are 6-7 years older work with people who are older. But not when they are younger because the two people's lives are fundamentally different.

Mind you this *is* all in fun but the same principal applies to any kind of conversation so if you are planning to converse with your hubby/wifey then it does vaguely affect you.

I agree with septer, but squiggle does have a point, the reason you can have great conversations is because either your mature for your age or the other person (like me for example) is kinda childish, theres only so much people of diferent ages can talk about... I think that makes sense, does it?
