Yeah the PSP look pretty cool, but I'm scared about its battery life. Sony says 2-10 hours but the ten would only be achieved without the UMD media spinning at all. That basically means that you'll get the maximum battery life if you don't load a game.

I'm more excited about the Nintendo DS, a touch screen and wireless multiplayer (both local and internet) makes for a very cool system. Its graphics aren't as good as PSP's but they are a little better than dreamcast and keep battery life in the 12-18 hour range.

But the best thing at the show was the new Legend of Zelda video. It was mind-numbingly awesome.

Just wondering, is the new Zelda going to be 3D like the N64 ones or cell shaded like the Gamecube one?

It's going to be the realistic 3d graphics as opposed to the amazing toon-shaded graphics (I call them toon-shaded because they were completely different than any other cel-shaded game in that they actually looked 3d)

At this point the graphics are extremely beautiful (although a little unpolished) and extremely good for still having at least a year of development time before completion. If you haven't seen it yet, you can see the movie at almost any game site (it shows up at least 2 times during the E3 awards at gamespot) but the best place to go to get it would be cube.ign.com. You can also see a slightly different video at Nintendo.com but the music in it isn't near as good.

Just remember, the whole thing is gameplay footage with only the camera angle changed to make it more cinematic. As usual all the movies in the game will probabl run of the in-game engine.

Edit: FFXII looks cool but I wish they would go back to doing normal RPGs with the FF series and use a different franchise for all the spinoffs (FF:CC, FF:Tactics, FFXI)

FFXII!!! That looks pretty cool....saw the stuff about E3 on TechTV...that's how I spend most of my time... watching X-Play and Anime Unleashed on that station. But anyway, I'm pretty excited for FFXII...and I think they covered something about the game they were making for that anime aclled Full Metal ALchemist. Never seen it...so I don't know much about it. Just that in the game, you'd try to find something that will restore the main character to his normal self...without the hand that changes into a sword.... Hmm...there were others....but I tend to forget things like that... :heh:

Oh yeah...and I think it was pretty close to where I am located...so I could have gone too...if I had known about it in advance.... Hmm I'll go next year maybe...

E3 brought along with it alot more horrifying RE4 goodness, (Resident Evil 4 for my Zombie deprived friends... ^_^). The game is looking really good, and looks to really be the best game of the collection. With amazing graphics and the killer atmosphere (literally)...I can't wait. Everything is said to be tweaked, namely the controls (I seriously didnt have a problem with them) and with the inclusion of the real time actions I guarantee it will be a seller, possible a Gamecube savior (along with the new Legend of Zelda which looks rather satisfying with its non-cel-shadedness).

The blood effects are rather terrifying too. Did anyone else see the chainsaw guy?

You may want to check out the actual video Angelic as link's character model has been fairly drastically revamped from his Spaceworld 2001 showing. His clothing is by far more realistic the face reflects an adult link that bares more resemblance to the OOT link than either the Spaceworld link or the SC link (although the SC Link looked extremely sweet) and the whole model has a more stylistic presentation.

I think Defrag nailed it when he said it's like a beefed up version of the SSBM link. You also shouldn't automatically assume you know what is being talked about just because you saw a three year old 11 seond long tech demo. The least you could do is check the sources we name before adding to the conversation.

Yeouch!! Some of us are really intense about our Link images

As for me, You might be able to guess that I am most excited about Donkey Konga. I love the music/rhythm games, and the Konga drums look so hilarious that I most certainly need them in my house.

They are also releasing another Donkey Kong drum game, so there will be at least two drum games (I hope there will be more lol)
