I need help to make Midi into MP3's! any1 got any ideas? =_=

use winamp to convert it to wav, encode with lame to mp3.

Im not so good with the winamp, how can i do that? :think:
oh, is "Lame" a program to make WAV ---> MP3?

with winamp, change the output to waveout, and set where you want the wav saved. and yes, lame is a mp3 encoder.

Preferences > plug-ins > output
at least I think so... but how do I choose target directory?! :blink:

uhh, sorry but i dont know what to do there? there is no "save as mp3" option thingey in it...
hmm.... it says "The Plug-determines how Winamp plas audio. If you select a plug-in, Winamp will use it (starting with the next item played) for audio output."
What am i gonna do?? @_@

There are a few free wave editors in which you can use to record (and compress in various formats-mp3, ogg, etc.) and post-process MIDIs (or anything that makes a sound on your comp, really). Specifically, Goldwave (http://www.goldwave.com) and Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net) come in mind.

how do u do it the otehr way around..change a mp3 to a MIDI..if u can

actually there are programs like that but they are dodgy and hard (read: almost impossible) to use.

Just plug a cord from "Line out" to "Line in" on the back of your PC. Then open a sound-recorder (anyone) and record while you play the midi-file. Now you have it in wav. Now you can convert it to MP3 with PowerAmp... something.. can't remember it's name. But it's free :D!

emm... i know its the thread about shiftin midis to mp3s but, do any of u know how ta switch SPC format to mp3?
