im a lvl 44 hunter on bloodhoof server.
warriors are very screwed up, they have too many bugs and generally suck !@#.
Paladins are tanks, one of only 2 classes that can wear plate, the heaviest armor,
along with warriors, pallies can heal, use shields and cast good buffs.
Hunters: are ranged damage dealers, using a bow and a seconday weapon(S), they use a pet to tank while they load arrows into their victims, My personal favourite. Sustaines high ranged damage.
Rogues are snealy bastards, employing stealth poisons and a bag full of cheap tricks to win, very fun class to play and great in PVP)player vs player) combat.
HIgh damage dealers
Mages: THe heaviest damage dealer, weak physcically but they pack a punch.
can be hard to play though
Priest: healers what else can i say , they can do a fair bit of shadow damage if theyre spec'd right.
Warlocks" demonic mages, using demonic pets and dark magics
shamans, all rounder, good offense and defense.
I hope this helps any player of WOW
ANy comments, if you want any advice pm me via email or msn

We should draw the conclusion that either you level fast or you don't have a life so you play it all the time? ;)

I recently bought the game and have a level 17 Warlock and a level 11 druid on Proudmoore. I'd say that the warlock is far more fun to play but I imagine part of that is the area I'm in.

The level cap in FFXI is 15 levels higher(75) and it takes about 3 times as much time =/.
I think i might start playing this game (along with FFXI and Lineage2 lol XD) Ill just use the gamecard though. Probably going to be undead since all of the people i know on the server id go to are horde....even thoguh id rather be alliance >.>

My housemate has been at level 60 (paladin) for months now, so he's been working on another character (level is high 30s, forgot the class). He's so bored of it, but his guild keeps on doing raids, something about Molten Core . . I wonder when they'll increase the cap  oh, and upgrading his horse would have costed him 900 gp, so he decided against it, even though he has enough :heh:

lol my mount for my 60 gnome is a mechanical chicken ^.^ but it cost me 1000 gold but that was easy to get cause i kept doing molten core ^.^ but ya the cap will be changed in the next patch or two ^.^

well it's good that you like the graphics.... but I'm whining everyday because WoW lags so much with those crappy graphics. The HL2 Engine and the Unreal engine are SOO much better, same goes for guildwars. I think blizzard should make WoW go smoother because the graphics arent that good. I have more than a decent computer, yet it lags. now I have to upgrade to 1GB RAM to get it to work good. I just buyed a really expensive graphic card... so.. yeah I'm pretty frustrated over the CRAPPY GAME ENGINE THEY HAVE IN WOW!!.

EDIT: and yeah I like to play it alot !, so i don't want it to lag. =]

My computer only has 768mb ram and a 64mb graphics card, and it has never lagged.

Noir7

I guess it's up to the server then. Some servers are over populated and cause both latency lag and graphic lag.

Have you ever though that perhaps it lags because of the server you're on? I have a rather modest system and at quite presentable settings and with several things running in the background I don't have any computer based lag when playing.

Of course those games you mentioned run better, they don't have to deal with huge amounts of information pouring in from the server. They're a completely different situation considering none of them are real MMORPGs. Before you get up in arms about Guild Wars being similar, it isn't. Guild wars instances the worlds outside the main area in your computer and it plays like a single player game or a small internet muliplayer from that point on. It isn't a true MMOG.

Alkythirn - Level 54 Undead Warlock (proudmoore)

Edit: It isn't a crappy game engine, it's just that RAM is the most important thing you can have in an MMOG. A better video card isn't going to help you load a city with 100+ people in an area.

Got my Priest to level 28 today! :D

I'm still doing quests in Darkshire/Duskwood...

Priests and Paladins are really good in this area since they both have anti-undead spells... Shackle Undead for the win~!

I'm fully Shadow Spec'd and my priest is going to be so awesome when i hit level 40 and get Shadowform. B)
