:P I only spent 40 minutes on this composition, so it's really, REALLY short; tell me what you think of it :D:D:D:D thanks
EDIT: Thanks to spc1st for the midi!

I'm too lazy to chuck the notes into my music program, and I'm too busy to get to a piano. So I took a "look" at it, but my reading skills are rusty, heh. But from what I could tell so far (I'll probably take another look later), it's pretty good, sounds fun and bright . . somebody turn it into midi please? ^^

It sounds a more appropriate at at 100 in my opinion, but whatever. Anyways, I got frusterated at trying to read it, so I ended up sequencing it. The tune is pretty catchy, and sounds sort of familiar; this reminds me of light-hearted music they sometimes play in anime shows. The flow of the piece is pretty smooth too. I don't know how the playing is intended, so I sequenced most everything with 16th notes, then added pedal marks for most of the chords. So if you want a more 'staccoto'-y version, get rid of the pedal marks. Also added a bit of contour dynamics to it, and a ritenudo at the end. By the way, what program did you make the score in? Most notators should have an MIDI export option.

WOW! Thanks for making the midi file, really appreciate it!
Um, I made it in Finale Notepad 2005, which can't make midi files..... :(

>_< That's what happens when a newb composes, he slips off halfway into an already made melody >_< >_< >_<

Don't sweat it; coming up with distinct and enjoyable melodies is hard for the pro's too. The main thing is what you DO with that melody that counts, and in this case, I think you've done fairly well (the harmony and rhymthic feel was pretty coordinated with the melody; the progression from one instance to the next doesn't feels natural for the most part).

Yeah, it's short, but short pieces don't always have to be bad, do they?
It's really good, and I like it. :D
Coming up with something like this will take me WAY more than 40 minutes. XD

Whoo, yay for midi!
My earlier comments still stand, but I just wanted to add that there were a few spots where I felt the chords were a bit off. But other than that, it was still very nice and well-down (even though short =P). You have a natural instinct for the flow of music, and that was what I was most impressed with. Because you had the phrasings and the pauses and everything ^^

you're pretty good for a newbie. Same comment as yellow monkey. I wonder what noir7 would say if he were here......
