I use Finale 2004, which can synthesize MIDIs, WAV files, and MP3s using high-quality soundfonts. :)

Noteworthy composer for me. I can print music, make Midi's, and even notate MIDI using its notating feature. This comes in handy when arranging songs! check the topic called "Composition programs" for more info, Noteworthy is on there somewhere.

Finale Notepad for me, but I don't think i have the full version, since I can't key change or time change during the middle of a piece

@dxl:
I use the SBLive! audio, but Finale 2004 comes installed with its own soundfont set, anyway. :)

I use G7 for composing/transcribing and etc... But it really sucks since I am not a guitar player, and as for soundcard or whatever... I use Windows GS Wavetable (or something like that) but it sort of sucks too X_X.

If you want to use Finale(the complete versions) then beware, they cost hundreds of dollars even with a student discount. Isn't there a sticky all about composition programs?

lots nicely composed music here~
and thankz for the inputs~ i have tried Finale years ago, it's still the best for making music sheets! but i do audio mixing so... it's not really for me
and i'm quite slow at reading non simplified music scores X_X .... anyway i'm suprise no one using Sonar or Cubase here?

sonar may be good for converting midis to mp3, remixing etc. but it's not really a notation programm imo =_=

It's between Sebalius (sp?) and Finale for me. It's easier to enter notes in Sebalius, and Finale creates a good final project.
P.S. Second the notion on expence of these two programs... Its to the point where it's just stupid...

I used to have Finale 2003....then my computer crashed and i lost everything so i stopped composing for a while. and i forgot all about it. Now i want my finale back but i have to illegally dl it again lol.... <_< Well maybe not, unless i find a program thats free and as good as Finale...

Then Anvil Studio must be better than Noteworthy because it's free...and Noteworthy's not.
