Ok, I've dug up my songs and continued one of my older incomplete compositions and continued writing it. Back then, I made this piece for pure fun to see what I could do. I stayed true to the idea of having fun. I don't care if it's deformed or whatever. Still, I want you guys to listen to it.
Black and White was its original name but now I can't decide what to name it. Destruction of the Right Hand? Don't Try This At Home Kids? :shifty: I hope you get an idea of what the song sounds like from this.
Have fun.
Note: There's an updated version further down the page.

wow.... 10th jumps all over the place, and cluster chords that will make your hand cringe....
Good piece, would make a great etude!
The piece has a psudo-flow to it, but forms only one idea. It pushes the idea and then ends abruptly. Maybe if a second theme was added to it (maybe add a driving bass line) and it would seem a little more complete.
7/10

Maybe it's time to add a little left hand destruction too. Thanks for the suggestion!

*fingers drop off at the mere thought of trying to play it* You did have some good sections in there but it was more than a little bit random!

I've added a second motif, or whatever it's called. Y'know, a main tune. Now it's right hand AND left hand destruction, though the right hand is still more severe!

Here's the score in MUS format...sorry the first note isn't legible. The naturals overlap with flats I believe

Very interesting piece; the development feels very minimalistic, especially with that pseudo-phasing part starting on the third page. I liked how you re-used motifs here and there, but that free-stylish part in the middle felt kind of out of place. I think the ideas could've been developed some more if the piece were longer (most of the individual sections sound pretty structured, but as a whole it ties together pretty loosely-kinda like what I end up often doing <_<). But all in all, it's a pretty nice attempt; keep it up.

Open the MIDI in Noteworthy ;) Only stuff that might be sloppy are the tempo changes...but you're a good musician so you can figure out how it goes.
Finale Notepad's a small download. Only a few seconds on T1/Cable/DSL and 30 mins at the most on dialup.
