Piano Master, your inability to create an interesting, full post is only outweighed by the horrors of your grammar and spelling. If you're going to bother posting at all you should try and actually communicate your opinion and give a little explanation behind it and this hold even truer if you're going to start a thread.

Anyway, keeping on topic, my personal preference is the Gamecube because it presents the best variety in the genres I prefer (action/adventure, party mulltiplayer games) and the controller is excellent for many styles of games and made even better when in its impeccable wireless form. It does have its faults (mainly fighting games) but there are solutions now available for that. I'd suggest trying SoulCalibur 2 with a Hori controller (GameBoy Player controller in the US).

Next I'd say I prefer Xbox since it does have some reasonable games on it (although the selection tends to be the worst of the three) and I truly respect what Microsoft did when they broke into the market and how well they've done making online console gaming viable.

The PS2 does have the widest selection of games (although not necessarily good ones) but I find that the only games I really play on it are RPGs since its controller is too cumbersome for much else, thumbsticks shouldn't be placed that far lower than where the thumb naturally rests.

As for my opinions on the DS and PSP, they're kept in the DS vs. PSP thread. Y'know, that place where they belong although I will say that I agree with Harv on his opinion on the games for each system.

XBOX.
By far xbox!
The games on xbox are well laid out and those that are exclusive ar even better!
I have not yet seen a ps2 game that made me say wow!
Even if your a ps2 fan you will say wow when you either see the commerical for Jade Empire of Doom 3.
Gamecube is in second for me only because of Resident Evil 4
I thought that this game was amazing and was one of the best I've ever laid hands on.
Im not trying to make ps2 people feel bad when i say ps2's graphics engine and story boards for their games are lame because their are good games such as DMC3 and that other one.......Killzone!
I hope that my opinon opens new ones but none from flaming children!

There was a topic like this before; it was a poll. But it doesn't really exist here anymore. And it was missing the GameCube, anyway!

Back to the topic: Even though I have all three...I prefer...hmm...the GameCube. Nintendo always goes for the games, NOT anything else like a CD player, a DVD player, or a computer, like the other two can. Xbox would be crap if it wasn't for Halo/Halo II. I only like the PlayStation 2 for games that were originally develpoed by Nintendo. Examples: Final Fantasy, Gauntlet, and Metal Gear! (Yes, it's true! I know a lot of Nintendo's history. So why are they on the PS2? Nintendo and Sony were once allies; but they split... That was...more than fifteen or twenty years ago... )

I personally like Nintendo because they come with stuff that's actually never been done before, both hardware and software wise.

For someone who knows "a lot of Nintendo's history" your information is strangely inaccurate. Nintendo had no hand in developing Final Fantasy, Gauntlet or Metal Gear. It's true those franchises first appeared on Nintendo consoles but there also weren't any other viable options at the time. The reason these games are on PS2 (and also all on Gamecube in some form) is because the developers of those games, who happen to all be third party developers, found it was more profitable to make the games for Sony's system. The original reason that Square and Konami decided to put their franchises on the PS1 is because of the disc based media and the easier development.

As for Sony and Nintendo being allied at some point it is true that the original successor to the SNES was being codeveloped by Sony however that deal fell through and no franchises appeared on Playstation as a direct result of that deal. Perhaps you're thinking of the deal between Nintendo and CDi that happened after the deal with Sony broke and resulted in three horrible Zelda games being released for CDi's console. That deal also eventually met its demise as Nintendo decided to go with the cartridge format for N64. Your date is also off as it happened around 1994 when Nintendo was planning its new console putting it at much closer to 11 years than more than 15 or 20.

sony has always been at the top sense joining the gaming crusaiders... X box is closing in. nintendo is good but....the controler is very nice (the design, not the button placement....) GO SONY!

i use ps2, but i think Xbox is better because if u hav it chipped, u can just download games off the internet and store them inside ur Xbox. unlike ps2, where u hav to get a dvd and burn the game from the net, the dvd still cost money. and not to mention that u can hav up to 8 players playing in Xbox if u hav 2 TVs.

And sorry if i sound illegal

So basically your choice of game console comes down to which one is most conducive to you screwing the game industry out of the money they deserve? Well, interesting choice in criteria, I'll give you that.

That said, buy some games moron, these people work incredibly hard to make the games and pirating in this case is incredibly wrong.

^ they used to work hard!!! now its just takeover a company that has a usefull brand name, and make N sequals for their hits...

Seriosly, the day Nintendo (or any other company) renames itself into Nintendo Inc. is the signal that the industry is finally screwed

If you think the developers aren't working hard to deliver the games we see today you have your head up your ass. In fact, the company that does the most takeovers and sequels (EA) also has probably the hardest working people in the industry. Bad games don't come from laziness on the developers' part, it comes from unreasonable schedules and a lack of support from publishers.

Also, if you think the business end isn't important than you're horribly ignorant. It can't just be a bunch of developers making games with no rule. That pretty much destroyed the industry in the first place. The crash in the industry that came after the Atari was only recovered from because of brilliant business practice. Being business oriented isn't a bad thing for the industry always.

It depends on what games you play!
I'm a Nintendo fan since the Game Boy Pocket, so I've got a GC. Even if it has few RPGs, it has Skies Of Arcadia Legends and Tales Of Symphonia and Zelda...
