Bach for the piano would be the Well Tempered Clavier.

Jazz, Rhapsody in Blue, Gershwin.

^ Wow. That's a question I like to see.

For piano, I recomend the second movement of the 23rd piano concerto and the entire 20th concerto.

For vocal, Die Zauberflote. Which will be on NPR, live from the Met. Saturday, April 16th. Check your local station for details. Yeah, that whole Opera is spectacular. Also check out The Marriage of Figaro. It has one of the best overtures in anything ever.

Sacred works, his Requiem and Great Mass in C Minor-- the Kyrie is beautiful

For violin, opening movement of his 3rd violin concerto.

For strings, obviously, Eine Kleine Nachtmusik. You'll recognize it immediately.

For full orchestra, check out his overtures for various operas. Also his 40th and 41st symphonies.

I believe you can find all of this on Rhapsody. Enjoy! And tell us what you think.

not completely jazz, but George Winston's variations on Pachebel's Canon is one of my favorites. it's like a modernized jazzy version of the original (which in itself is really good)
