Anyone here played RE? The series was great but I hated it when they had to end it in RE:Outbreak, the zombies and mutated "things" were getting old throughout the games but new capabilities for the player and npc's made it scarier and harder, but when Capcom came out with RE4, I doubted it that it would contain the original scare elements. I was really impressed by the idea of using people as the new enemy. I thought that some of the elements from previous RE games would be dramatically changed but it comes to show that Capcom came threw with an all new horror, the only draw back of RE4 is what is going to be the sequel? Another village possesed with crazed villagers? A town? A city? What are the enemies going to be? More crazed humans? Ghosts? Devils? See that's the thing, Capcom screwed up their RE series by ending it all with RE4...or maybe they will pull threw again with an all new horror...?

I totally LOVE Resident Evil games. Intense and exciting and the unknowing of what is waiting is the best. I know they can continue the series as it can be anything and anywhere. I hope that Resident Evil : outbreak file 2 is even better thatn the first. Pure brilliance there .... who needs online capability, I don't have it and I was addicted for so long. Fave characters: Alyssa and Kevin anyone else got faves?

I also want another one in the series with Claire or even get the storyline from one of the great original novels. If you haven't read the series then you don't know what you are missing.

so RE4 is only for gamecube? that's too bad. i really like the 3rd 1, makes u jump a lot. The review for RE4 was really nang, it's a shame that they don't do it for other consoles.

Yeah, for now it's for Gamecube but next year, I heard from a very realiable source, it's coming out for PS2, they're trying to configure the controls and all...Also I've read the series also, don't know what's better, the series or the game...hmmm. Outbreak did kinda sucked, I wished there were more stages...I saw in a review a pic of some other stage I haven't been to... :(

splendid!!! i'm really looking forward to that, cause i read from the review that the undead are a lot smarter than those good old zombies, they always try to outwit you.

Yep they are bringing 4 out on PS2 in the UK around autumn from wot I have heard.

There certainly is a book series I have nine which I think is the current total (including the film books). The authour is S.D. Perry there are novels based on games and her original writing. The film ones are written by someone else.

I thought outbreak was great but, I do agree more scenarios would have been great. Yet the amount of things to collect for costumes etc. Keeps ya busy for ages!

I love RE but yeh capcom fucked it up with all the mutants and stuff it should have just been zombies
