Im starting to take piano lessons agian and i need a real piano for this teacher. i need tips on getting a piano and a price range on a Upright Acoustic Piano price and a used price on one, what make, wood, company, or if you live near newport, oregon where to get one. i wont be able to take orders from any where else but an area near Newport, Oregon because i will not pay for a $1000 S&H unless you really want to drive it here with out charge( and if you do, your messed up or the piano is cursed and want to get rid of it, it which i wont take the piano :D sry) so give me tips on buying A SMALL ACOUSTIC PIANO(possably upright), PLEASE NO GRAND PIANO, WE HAVE NO ROOM FOR IT IN THE HOUSE!

i suggest buying 2nd hand upright piano it's cheaper obviously. Here in Canada the price is around 3000-4000, which is pretty reasonable price. In term of brand, i think Samick, Yamaha (though i won't recommend it because the sound quality is not that good), and Steinway. I would probably only choose these 3 piano, Samick seem the most reasonable in term of price too.

Now a days, it's hard to get a good and also cheap piano, but again you just gotta know where to look ^_^

hope i helped

Have you tried the local Goodwill/Salvation Army/Thrift store? I occasionally see uprights or spinet pianos in the $600-$1500 range here. (I can't, of course, vouch for the condition of an instrument purchased at one of these establishments...)
