Hey!! Got this idea from kariekh's thread about chrono trigger/chrono cross. Wouldn't it be so great if they remastered (remade?? don't know the difference) the Final Fantasies, as in 1-8, made them look more better and maybe remake some things that made it, wrong. For example, the graphics could be way cool than before, and the music (from the way old FF's) could be remastered into better sounding songs instead of beeps and high pitches, even add movie scene's to those FF's that didn't have any or had no voice in them. There we go!! Add voice's this time to the movie scene's!! I know that this is what every fan would want, am I right? I mean, so offense, but the FF series are great, it's just that, it doesn't have that "spice" it use to have when we all played it the first time, am I correct?

I think they're already working on that with ff7.

even though it would be cool to play like final fantasy 1 or 2 or 3 with new graphics

but actually, i prefer them to work on new projects... new ideas and stuff
because if i wanted to play ff5 again, id play it again on emulators, i dont need new graphics for fun and excitement.. do i? O_O"

:nosebleed: Yes you do need graphics to enjoy a game and a great story board!!! Like FFVII's!!! But anyways, in my opinoin and other gamers, graphics will make the game more enjoyable, and as for FFI, maybe if they change the really crappy graphics, story, and other stuff that makes it so bad so people would like it, but also keeping its "self"...if you know what I mean...

umm.. well if you change the story line, then it isnt really FFI is it?? if your gonna change the story line, then you might as well make a new FF... or.. make it FF1-2 or somthing like that....

I herd that it will come out (FF:AC) by the end of this year, no later i hope.
as for remastering FF:VII, its pointless. the game was special because of its graphics, it was ok....but the point is its story. if the graphics were redone, it will take away some qualities and some cartoony points to the story

yup yup.. there are some things that should not be meddled with...

There can sometimes be problems with voicing.
Example, in Final Fantasy X you could change Tidus' name around. But you would probably notice they never said his name. They always referred to him as, him/i] or something else. In all of the other FF's you can rename [i]almost all of the characters.

HELL NO! the graphics like that give it an innocent feel and a cartoony look. its perfect the way it is. as for voices, that means it will look funny with out that realistic graphics so no!

How can making the graphics better make FFVII look cartoony? I mean, look at Half-Life 2 or Counterstrike Source Beta, the graphics are awesome!! That won't make it have a cartoony look...

I think they should convert FF7-9 for Gamecube. The licence costs to Sony would be peanuts to the sales. Come on, every RPG fanatic with an N64 longed for these 3. They should not redo the graphics, just rerelease the game. It would be...fantastic.

Graphics don't make the game.

That, is a matter of personal opinion. As an ASCII Rougelike player, I don't think there's anything that can faze me graphically - but of course we all know that there are people that prefers the latest FFs to the precursors simply because of graphics. What can I say? Different people have different tastes.

No!!!! I ment that the graphics it had know give it the carttony look that makes every one look innocent and in the wrong game.

No you don't. Pong and Pacman didn't have great graphics yet they were great games to play. I prefer SNES RPG's with bad graphics over those stupid PS2 things like FFX.

I know Crystal Chronicles. I've got it myself and it's pretty boring in singleplayer, and multiplayer
is way to expensive. I want a FF for Gamecube that is an RPG and not an Action-Adventure, because we have got great Action-Adventures on GC.

FF7's graphics were brilliant. They just fit into the game, and you don't need wow-graphics to have a good game.

Why should Square waste time on converting old games? Let them make new games instead. Besides, what's the use of converting old games? The old games were good, if you change them you won't get the same feel that you had when playing the old games.

Square is remaking FF:VII. you can go to gamespot and watch the trailer, its under PS3

Just ask yourself: Have Square and Sony ever re-created a cutscene from an old game to demonstrate the graphical improvements of a new console, and proceeded to publish a remake of said old game?
