I am getting overwhelmed with requests to post compositions on Ichigos.com (I have at least 50 in my inbox). So, I would like to propose a new way of sharing compositions:
If you have a new composition to share, create a topic in this forum with your MIDI files (and any other files) posted. People can listen to and comment on your compositions.

Update:
I enabled uploads on this forum, so you can post your compositions without needing to have your own webserver.

yeah, i want to post up a song.... but i don't know how copyright works here cause it's a first song i've ever written...
question to blackmage- do you copyright before posting song up or you just throw it here when you feel that it needs feedback?

According to copyright laws, as soon as ink touches paper, it's copyrighted as long as your name is on it. If you want it to be copyrighted for the sake of protecting your music from other people (copying the music and claiming it for themselves), then you have to do some paperwork, just so that you have proof in court.

I don't think it will ever reach the extremes that you will need copyright laws on your compositions etc, but if you are going to perform them in public, it woud be best :).

Ureshii, wrong place. Don't post your compositions here, please. Make a new thread for your own compositions so people can review them (unless we're still using michael's review thread, but I'm worried that'd get too cluttered up).
And no double posting!
That is all. ^_^

for all those who read this (mostly for the admin or whoever is in charge of the music section of this forum):
Since Blackmage was relieved of duty as moderator of composition section, he left the nomination post up. From what I've heard, he is no longer have control of the nominations, therefore, is a dead post. I strongly urge as a member of this section for the new moderator to continue the nominations because i believe that composers in this area should be acknowledged for their achievements. It may up the members in Ichigo forum and also inspire other composers to write new music and post up for other members to give positive criticism and a job well done. Please think over this. Thank you.

Hehe, I don't mind if people would want to steal my work. It's actually flattering. I can always compose more, they can't.

heh, well you can only upload one per post... so if you have more than one you have to double post
but yes, please make a separate thread for each composor to keep it neat ^^
EDIT: *sees that post is over a month old*... whoops @_@
ok, I'm gonna close this tread, if anyone has any more questions on posting compositions here, please PM me! :lock:
