What books would you like to see as a movie?

I want to see all the Old Kingdom books by Garth Nix be made into a movie, its better then harry potter and thats a movie! not fair, and any way, the plot is good and people will know what it is because its a newyork times best seller.

"Blood and Chocolate" by Annette Curtis Klause.

i love this book! I wanna see how they'll make the wolf transformation because i just can't picture it in my head. And i love the romance part going on in there. The book nearly made me cry.

I don't read much, but The Da Vinci Code will be out soon. That was an intense novel. Personally my favourite movies all derived from books

Requiem for a Dream
A Clockwork Orange
Trainspotting

That book is definalty one of my faves. One of the best ever written. It would be wonderful if Blood and Chocolate would be a movie!

I also like any books by Amelia Atwater Rhodes to become a movie. Books like Demon in my View, In the Forest of the Night, etc.

I don't know if it can be done, but I'd like to see a good version of the Prydain Chronicles. Disney did the Black Cauldron, and it was horrid.

Gosh, I was thinking that the other day after finishing Abhorsen! It'd be interesting to see how they do the Charter Marks, depict Free Magic etc. It'd be a good movie :D

It would if it was done WELL. Otherwise it could be a pile of crap. Although they DO seem to be getting a LITTLE bit better at adapting books into movies...

Oh God Yes!!! That *would* be nice!!! (Although I didn't think that The Black Cauldron was "horrid" -- a bit slow in places, yes; but not "horrid"...)

Cloudstreet by Tim Winton, if done correctly it would be a beautiful Aussie flick.

I could not finish watching it. When Doli came on screen as an effeminate fairy in lieu of an axe-weilding dwarf, I could take no more. And The Horned King isn't in The Black Cauldron at all. He kind of dies in the first book. And he didn't have any kind of magical powers at all. It was nothing like the book. And Gurgi appeared to have escaped from rejected concept art from Lady & the Tramp.

Oh...His Dark Materials series. x.x I adore that series to death. The Golden Compass, The Subtile Knife, The Amber Looking Glass!!! <3 KAWAII! I loved those books so much. I hate it when books are made into movies most of the time, though, because most of the time the movies just...suck.

Blood and Chocolate would make a good movie. The book is one of my faves.

I didn't really think the DaVinci Code was all that it was hyped up to be. It was OK, but not one of my favorite books. Now, Angels and Demons is a GREAT book. I'd like to see that turned into a movie. It would be interesting since conclave didn't happen too long ago.

I think you're being a bit harsh; but, eh, to each his own... (No hard feelings?)

I'd like to see Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials come out as an anime movie. It's very musch like Escaflowne, though it has a stronger storyline, deeper character development and has alot more twists.

"Hot Car" by Lou Cameron (Terrorists steal radioactive material and hide it in a car's radiator, thinking that the lead is enough to shield it -- they're wrong! Car is then stolen and anyone who gets near it for more than a few minutes is toast...)
