Eh, they remind me too much of electric guitars, and I don't like them, haha. So I'll just stick to my normal wood colour, thank you very much. ^_^

(Red's not too bad!)

EDIT: Oh, the blue on the far right is better!

They'd be fun to have just to attract attention. :P

No offense, but I don't really like them. They seem to be plastic, and wood violins are usually of better quality. If you really want a colored violin, get an eletric violin. Those are awesome, but the batteries are not always reliable. The goodside? An awesome shape, sound, and color. But still, plastic yet again. Gah.

Those colored violins above are painted wood. :) E-violins can be a pain with amping, practicing, etc... too expensive, too... :s Those Colored Violins up there are about $300 US max. :)

I like the turquoise one -- it looks so retro. :P I nearly bought a black violin on ebay once, but it was priced so cheap that I couldn't help wondering if something was wrong with it... <_<

That's insanely cheap! Wow. Hehe, I got my regular violin for $1500 and those are for the okay violins. My teacher has a professional violin. It's $7,000. ::jealous::

::deep breath:: Okay, here comes the questions. :sweatdrop:
Anyway, are you going to get it?
Is it spray painted on?
Did you find it at a store?
Can you buy one for my friend? j/k

I'm paranoid about buying violins. I have to inspect them by hand to see if they're good quality. :heh:

My sister's friend has a blue one...I think they're cool. It's like having a different kind of piano, there's not just wood ones now, everything in the music world is changing. Not sure if it's for the best though

1) I dunno if I'm going to get one... I kind of want one! :D
2) I dunno. I think they're handpainted-on, metallic paints.
3) I found these at http://www.atx-hosting.co.uk/rainbow/acoustic.asp but there are many other sites that sell them. When I converted the pounds to US dollars, it's about $230 dollars or so.
4) No. :P

haha, i've seen coloured violins in some music store here... and they're $200, but.... even though they are considered cheap for violin, it is kind of a waste of money, considering i have a perfectly good "normal" one....

I did want the purple one though...

electric violins are fun as well, plug in a headphone and no one else can hear you play on it... ^^ Would be useful when I play at night... I lost my mute ><

Doh! A violinist without a mute?! *gasp* If you live in the US south-west, you could go to swstrings.com and order a gold-plated metal mute. Works PERFECTLY! Much more powerful than the rubber counterparts. :D

I would get the red one... Actually, my friend and I were looking at the colored ones in one of her String magazines. I'm planning on getting a violin soon... *rushes to mother* Mwaha!

i dunnoo....i still don't get the point of having it coloured..unless u're a professional or performer now THAT'S a different story (pretty violin *_*)

well for me i like electric violin ^.^ u can play with the sound and they are great for playing solos *ajustable volume*

(my junior high school has them because we won some compitition and the winners bought electric violins with the money so i know how they sound like!)

it sounds pretty awsome to me ^.^...of course it depends on you...

even though red one looks really cool.... AHHH!! *smacks myself*
