Allmost every middle school requires you read this book, and Mine did a week ago, thats when I got obsessed...

The Outsiders is amasing, and I still can beleave it was writed by a 16 year old, but not realy that the author was a female.

Im going to watch the movie soon and cant wait when I do! Any one else a fan of the books or SE Hintons works?

The Outsiders is a great book but according to my friend her other book " Taming the Star Runner" wasn't as interesting. The movie is such an old show I only person in the cast I know is Tom Cruise. I have to admit when I watched the movie I didn't enjoyed it, the lighting and sound was poor i guess.

Although the subject matter wasn't appealing to me (can't really relate to greasers or socs), I still thought it was okay.

I really don't care for this book too much. To me, it was evident that a 16 year old wrote it.

Yeah, I remember that book... I had to read it in Grade 8 . I was't a huge fan of of it, though. I had to watch the movie in class too. I don't think that was too great either...

the book is great, the movie is crap!

Some things I noticed in the movie:
Show spoiler (javascript:void(0);) 2-bit has some obbsesion with micky mouse (not just the shirt...)
Pony has an abnormaly large mole on his neck (like the one on austin powers...)
The didnt bleack ponys eye brows

thats all I saw so far in class.

BOOK= GREAT
MOVIE= CRAP
