anyone have any thoughts on what they think of Ea after they bought the NFL liscense? I think theyre bastards. just because Sega was getting better sales...

I hate all EA games. They make me hate sports even more.

I think EA games are generally not all that great, the only reason I play Need for Speed Underground is cos it's the only decent streetracing game out there.

The Sims is great, but that's not EA, that's actually Maxis and Maxis is quite a good game company. Same for C&C (Westwood).

saying that though, EA has taken something from the C&C series ii cant quite make out somehow...not as good anymore *hunts down original*

EA's made a TON of games; I especially liked the NFS series up to Undergroud (see rant above)... I don't agree with the exclusive sports contracts though, whether you like them or not they hamper creativity and EA can charge whatever they want.

hmm..i think ea's just afraid of competition. btw, medal of honor european assault looks awesome. MOH is the only thing EA does rite

For Americans it might be easy to just buy a Civic and race through the streets, over here that's quite different T_T;; besides, where can you buy a 1985 Toyota Sprinter Trueno? It's in NFSU2 (under the name Corolla though) and I love it.

I don't like any of EA's games except NBA Street. Just the first one, the second sucks, and the third one is like.... X_X

EA might buy UBISOFT!!!no........... :cry: :crybaby: more crappy games from a good company........

i dissliked the game play in medel of honour...plus i felt that all consoul versions didnt do it justice.

I'll stick with battlefield myself, now there is a good game and a king of Mods

I believe Battlefield is based on the MOHAA engine :mellow:

I believe you have been served, PFT. i dont like any pc games at the moment b/c my graphics card is crap and i new to buy a new one.

As far as i'm concerned about EA games, they could fall into the sea and be lost forever and I wouldn't give it a second thought.

Sega games owned especially the price tag and the overall game was better too. Jesus, one way to get rid of the competition is to friggin buy everything they need to make a game

The only thing I like from EA are the street games and Tiger Woods Golf.

The only thing I have against EA is it's policy. Sure, they make good games (although you can blame them for having the same engine, and lacking originality), every year a new game in the "X" series, and so far all of them have been above average. But the policy of "the best way to get that great brand is to take over the company" really annoys me. Because of EA, it's no longer safe being a 3rd Party Developer - you'll get taken over faster than you can say Battlefield. Thankfully, when it tried to acquire Ubisoft the french government intervened - but Ubisoft? thats one of the giants standing right next to Activision, Capcom, Namco, etc. What next? Sega Sammy taken over??? Activision had to buy out it's old 3rd Developer Partner, just to protect it from EA (mind you, they went about it in a civilized way - noone was fired from the company, so you can say that the "core" remained intact)...

That's all I have againt EA - they modified the market so that it's no longer safe to be a 3rd Party Developer if you don't have protection from someone

Just ask any major CnC fan and they'll say the same thing. and so...I ....HATE....EA!!! not mention how they abuse their workers into working so much. 90 plus hours i've heard. they are even being sued by their own workers. Their horrible. They go off buying little developers that make great games and then milk it off all possible money they can. then make the previous developer make absolute crap and then continue to milk money off of it. I'm rooting with all my heart for the people who quit EA to go work at places like Petroglyph and such. and another thing *proceeds to rant for hours*

hmm... I really don't think most EA games are really that bad. of course, I DON'T really play them that often. But some games, like Medal of Honor Rising Sun just SUCK!!! As to their buying other companies, I really have no comment...

Actually Westwood was bought and renamed to EA Pacific but they still make the C&C games.

The games they have made are bastard childs to the CnC name! You cannot tell me that you consider games like Command and Conquer generals and Red Alert 2:Yuri's revenge to be real CnC. (not that they are terrible games....well red alert 2 but as a game itself i have nothing against generals....except that they are naming it CnC! JUST ANOTHER BLOODYMARKETING SCAME! BLARG!) Now with EA controlling the production of CnC the true CnC games are all but lost. Allmost all programmer etc. who worked on the orginals (Command and Conquer, CnC red alert, CnC Tiberium Sun/Firestorm) have all quit EA to go to other developers such as Petroglyph. Tell me, if EA is still making CnC games where is CnC Tiberium Twilight? Why is it that even though hundreds of thousands of people would buy it immediatly they never make it. Why is it that after years of waiting the CnC communitys biggest rumur is on....red alert 3!!!

i hate all EA sport games.. i don't like to play any sport by any console or computer. if i want to play for example football i go with my friends to field and begin to play it. but i NEVER play any sport game in any consoles

EA isn't ALL that bad. I play The Sims and The Sims 2...no the graphics arn't the greatest....but its a very modern game and there's none like it. and yes it's Maxis but it's under EA Games. It's my favorite computer game and it's sorta up there with ps2 games. I think it's crazy wicked awesome. On ps2 I also like MOH (not one player) I like how you can play capture the flag it's pretty awesome. No, its not like Halo 2 or anything...... but its ps2 I mean I still remember playing Army Men on play station and that was the first game I ever played(and those graphics completely suck @$$). (lol) well I don't think they are all that bad I mean sure some are pretty bad but so
