I love pokemon, just becuase there is no real plot, you cant have fun! all you do Is try to max out you pokemons stats while battleing others, and in the new ones, theres contest, plants growing, club house decrating and alot more secret stuff!

Final Fantasy 8 wasn't really that good. It also seemed to be a rip off of some things in FF7. There are similarities between the two like Cloud or Squall and their personalities

The fighting system is probably the worst I ever seen. It's just an all around horrable game. Pokemon is a bad series but I don't think the concept is bad; If they had a story line, Vicious blood thirsty monsters instead of like cuddelyfluffasaur, Some cool characters and just made it better it might be a fun game!
I hate the mario kart games. I don't see why everybody likes them. Maybe if they had a story line and the ability to cutomize your car...The thing I hate most about them is the ability to go from first to last place in mere seconds. I'll be drivin along about twenty feet away from the finish line then bam! Some super homing banana come outa no where and then I can't move for like ten seconeds then when I finally gain control I get eighth place...It's so annoying...

Superman 64 was bad, but that's pretty obvious. I couldnt even get past the first part where you have to fly through little rings or something stupid like that.

DragonBall Z Sagas sucked pretty bad. No, I didnt read any reviews before renting it. I'M A REBEL LIKE THAT.

And I also hated Earthbound, for the SNES. It was really popular, but I cant figure why. The battle system sucked soooo bad. :boo:

Also, I dont really like the FF games that much (waits for flames).
The battle system is annoying, the graphics are generally bad and un-inspired, and the storylines are super-weak (at least for 1-6). The only thing I liked about it was that it felt traditionally old-school.

Yes those supper complex button mashing fighting games are annoying. Like the Mortal combants and Tekkens... Nintendo seems to make all there game too simplistic (Hence kirby&#39;s air ride) but they did well with super smash brothers it&#39;s simple, but not to simple. Easy to learn hard to master...

Halo isn&#39;t bad but it is very over hyped. If you compare Halo to some hidden jems Halo won&#39;t seem that great anymore. Halo&#39;s just good at presenting. Wow dual weilding&#33; How long have they had that? Plus the single player ain&#39;t that great either. Actually the pokemon games are pretty decent. The monsters ain&#39;t cruel and bloodthirsty because they are cute and to be honest, that&#39;s more fun than seeing them rip eachother to pieces. Violence can be fun in games but I think games without violence can be just as much fun.

About Mario kart: of course you can&#39;t tune your car, it&#39;s an arcade racer, not a simulation. Play GP4, that&#39;s simulation for you. And about getting hit by a banana, that&#39;s another thing the game&#39;s about. It&#39;s not just about racing, it&#39;s also about making the racing hard for your opponents. That&#39;s what the whole game&#39;s about and if you don&#39;t like it stay away from it. I love it, everyone I know loves it.

Any Grand Theft Auto game. I&#39;m sorry, but I think these games are horrible in so many ways. Sure, it&#39;s great that you have the freedom of doing like, anything you want, but it just seems so pointless. Like in San Andreas, I don&#39;t really think the main objective is really clear. All it seems like is you (the player) just going around and killing everyone - most of these murders are pointless and unecessary too.

I would agree because I believe the story is on going forever...? I mean, as you get mythh or whatever it&#39;s called and fill your orb and return to town, you start the whole process all over again...I say it&#39;s pretty pointless unless there really is and end to it...

I think FFCC had alot of potential. They just needed: a good story, better controls, multiplayer without needing a GBA and link (since nobody had both of them) , actual characters, and I thought it&#39;d be cool if all your people went on the levels with you. That way it would be funner plus it would increase the feel of it being a whole caravan. Does anyone know why when you go through the miasma streams your caravan isn&#39;t there?

Most PC RPGs, like the Myst series (Myst, Riven, Exile, Uru, and whatever that other one was. How many of those things are they going to make?) or Grim Fandango. Especially Myst and all that. I hate first-person games (which in turn means I hate first-person shooters. I&#39;ll get to that in a second) and when you put an RPG on a screen without a controller, I just lose interest. As for the rest, like the LucasArts stuff (Monkey Island, Grim Fandango...), pretty much the same thing. Most PC RPGs have much wandering around, trying to figure out what to do. This has happened on a few of my console games before, but those at least gave me a goal, if not specific location, instead of an overall goal of your character, such as "Save the person" or "Get through the game." If my joystick would work, maybe life on the computer would be so much better.

As for shooting games, I just can&#39;t stand them. James Bond games *shudder*. Actually, I&#39;ve only played those because my neighbor has them, and as much as I like explosions, the guns just didn&#39;t work for me. Violence is one thing, like in FF, but pointless violence? Not for me. This is all based on watching my neighbor play the story mode, and playing less than ten games of multiplayer mode though, so don&#39;t yell at me too much.

I pretty much like sport games, not all of them.. well.. when I think of it almost non.. I only like football (or soccer) games, cause I can do things on the field there wich I couldn't do in real-life, and I can improve my tactical insight for a real-live match.

as for zelda gamez, I loved the first 'real' zelda: Legend of Zelda: Ocreana of time. That was sow much fun ( I was like 9 or 10). every day on school the first question was: 'have you cleared the dungeon yet?' or anything like that. And kids who weren't you friends came too your place, only cause they knew the weak spot of a boss :heh: . I still think It's a great game, especially for that time. I missed all the other Zelda's, cause I'm no owner of a GC.

Chrono Trigger does rule as does Seiken Densetsu 3. I liked the battle system to Seiken 3. But imo, Final Fantasy 7 beats them both.

Mortal Kombat. I hate them all, seriously. It's totally no fun against the computer because they intercept your commands so whenever you do a certain move for some reason they do it to and beat you to it. I hate any game that tries to rip off DDR and PIU. If you are going to make a game, get off your lazy butt and do it yourself. *cough*ITG*cough* I also really can't stand mario party anymore. I'll give the new ones a chance, but I wish nintendo would stop with the annual mario party releases.

I don't like the FF games, and only for one reason. The plots are fine, visual appeal is good and getting better, but I can't stand turn-based battle systems. And it's not just Square, 'cause the movie was fine.

Maybe if they made a Real-time FF, I'd play it.

Isn't ff XII like that? you could move freely in battle. The time bar prevents turbo buttons, otherwise you could use a turbo pad and hit the monster 60 times a second or something like that.

I'm not sure, I'm just saying that a turn-based battle system isn't necessary for a good RPG. Look at KH. Good RPG without T-BBS.

I guess it's not just FF. I don't like Lord of the Rings: The Third Age for the same reason. The turn-based battle system requires no skill at all. You just have to know how to press a button. They aren't challenging to me.

Try the Baldurs gate games.
I dislike the more recent final fantasy games and those platform games like rayman. (just to stay on topic)

MapleStory. It's waay overrated by the players. And it's not even good to begin with. They love it so much, even though it sucks. It's a wannabe ripoff of a game that tried to make a crappy version of online Mario. Except they use weapons. It's an MMO and it's not even 3D! AND! Now it's invading the DS. There's absolutely no plot/point to the game. It's basically an Instant Messanger with graphics.
Also, I don't "hate" it, but I'm mad at Gunbound. The gameplay is fine, but the item system completely blows.

gyakuten... I agree with you.. maple story does suck. the moment i started playing it..i fell asleep.it has bad controls.and gunbound and rocky....

Galerians: Ash. ....... Jesus...... I thought it would be good because I liked seeing the cinema of when the game starts when it was shown on G4. (big mistake) The controls are ok but nothing real special about it. (really basic) The graphics are horrible though. I can't even look at my own character w/out feeling the need to look away from the screen. The fighting is just plain boring since you already got the skills you need from the start so there's no fun in learning new moves and there's no cool factor to them since it's not really amazing to look at. It doesn't help you have a limited amount of usage of your skills before you go crazy to a point if you don't have a certain item, you're basically a dead man walking. (you'll be able to kill regular enemies in 1 hit when they're near you but no damage to bosses and you'll rapidly lose health (and walk veryyyyy slow) till you use an item to stop it or die trying). Did I mention these items are only dropped from the enemies you fight unless you randomly find one on the floor and that there's no place to actually buy some so you can, in fact, use too much of your powers to a point where you might have to restart. It would have been real cool to play if only they actually tried to make it playable. It would have been so cool. (still has it)
