Does anyone else here love harpsichords? :) Look at this beauty I found while doing an image search:

I've played one before! It was the best thing I've done in ages!

That's nice. ^_^ My French teacher used to own one when she was little. She said that the keys were thinner than on a keyboard, so she had a harder time playing with that.

My old violin teacher has a harpsichord. My piano teacher would always tell me about it when I was learning harpsichod music (it's all one big music institute)

I've never played one, but I love the sound <3

You lucky, lucky guy.
I love all the designs that they have on them, and I love the sound, but they're really only good for playing, like, Handel. You know, baroque. Because they can't sustain the sound and they can't change the volume. But they're beautiful instuments nonetheless.
Oh yeah and the thin keys shouldn't be a problem, considering my fingers are really long and... tapered lol

I played on one over the summer for about five minutes. It really tripped me out. It was nothing like a piano or organ. Which is probably why they gave it a different name.

Do you ever listen to Handel? And answer no if you've just heard Messiah. But like his organ concertos and his other oratorios/opera excerpts? Because Messiah isn't really like the rest of his music. Nor is it like any other oratorio, so it's a poor example of both. But it's not a poor piece... nevermind.
