is it just me or does the finale notepad only let me write 2 pages of music at a time? thanks.

Well, you're lucky... When I use Finale Notepad, I can barely get past a few measures before my system finds an error and closes it... it is genuinely annoying... X_X

The full version will let you write as many pages as you want. The same should apply for the free version. What you probaly are not doing, is adding more measures. Be sure to right click on the measure tool, and then left click on add measures. Then give a quantity.
