If you have not seen Mai-HiME and want to (it's really good) don't read the spoilers!!!

I just finished watching Mai-hime tonight (finished it up with a 7-ep marathon... I just couldn't stop watching :heh:). It was really, reeally good. The music got me hooked, and the story was excellent.

Couple of questions/comments for those of you who have seen it:
I'm disappointed in the ending, considering the entire series was awesome. The love triangles surrounding Mai and Tate weren't resolved. I refuse to believe that Shiho would just give up so easily on Tate.

Why did the evil lord (forgot his name) decide to possess Reito? Was he posessed throughout the entire series?

What was the star, really? Would it have wiped out everyone on the planet if Mai went along with Reito?

I *really* thought Mikoto and Reito were going to die (or "disappear") at the end... that would have helped the love triangle some. ;)

Never herd of it. At first, all I saw as "HIME", So im like "oh, a Mononoke topic", but its MAI-hime.

Is it any good? Ill try to get some episoides if it is...

I agree with your speculation about Shiho/Tate, but I'm pretty sure that Tate made himself clear on the issue sometime towards the end of the series or maybe I'm just assuming too much.

I don't really know the answer to your second question... maybe russian roulette? I'm going to say that he was posessed throughout the entire series and it just took him a while to "awaken".

If I am not mistaken... if the evil guy/spirit ...

I was originally getting this back before my laptop died. I had a substantial number of episodes but I lost them all, and due to time constraints, I never got around to watching any!.

But I'm eyeing it closely XD And if it's highly recommended by anyone here... I might get it again...

I don't think Reito was possessed the whole time right from the beginning of the anime... kokuyou no kimi "woke" up in Reito's body towards the middle or something. But this is just how I like to think, because I thought Reito was a good person.. ; ;

The ending ruined the whole anime, it was too happy. And how on earth did Mai come back from going up to destroy the satellite(?) with kagaguchi? (sp, don't know how to spell her child)

Just a quick question about the series in general - when does it really start to get interesting? I ask this because I've tried for watch the series for two times (first when it just came out, then after it has finished), but I just simply can't get into it. It's just so boring and cliched, but seeing all the leechers on AnimeSuki seems to suggest that at some point it really probably does get good. I think I got to about Episode 9 before I decided to delete the rest of it for freeing up some space for other things. So... yeh - when does it get good? :bleh:

it gets good when they have defeated the orphens. That was probably just to set the basis of the story plot as well as to introduce the different HiMEs. Afterwards, it gets interesting and not as slow moving or boring. Still, many things are unexplained in Mai HiME... who knows, they might reveal some answers in Mai HiME 2.

mai-hime was my first anime what i ever watched ^_^ and i really like it..

I think it's called Otome HiME.... wonder how they'll continue this series...

I´m gonna follow the new Hime with high expectations.
