There has been no topic just based on Final Fantasy generaly, so here is one...

NEVER MIND! I found out that Final Fantasy 3 was later made into Final Fantasy 6 for the US of A, so its the remake of the best RPG ever!

So, any ways, a little note and some facts.

Final Fantasy 3/6 was actualy the RPG that inspired the modern day RPG VideoGame. Every knows Final Fantasy 7 most the most popular, but 3/6 was its mother. So I read in many places that Final Fantasy 3/6 is going to be remade into a DS game. Yes, remade. Not ported, emulated, smashed, burned or anything. It is going to be remade.

You're right. If you look hard enough, there is no Final Fantasy general dicussion topic. And if you look EVEN HARDER STILL at the topic you just posted up, you'll realise that it belongs in the games section.

And Final Fantasy 6, can't say I liked it. Too much variety for my liking.

The posters and CDs are BASED of the game and IS related to the game , unlike that stupid movie Final fantacy:the spirits within. That was just crap! utter utter crap!!!

Side note: No offense to desiner Yoshitaka Amano or anything, but Kefka's computer-generated appearence (as on the poster above) is HORRIBLE. All his other characters are fantastically drawn though.. both on paper and 3D.

i agree. VII is really hard to play since i got VI and VIII, even thoughi think the plot is so much better

You...couldn't really...think that, could you? The plot of VI was sincerely--or in my opinion--the best plot that has ever been written for a Final Fantasy. Unfortunately, because of our modern games, people are led astray due to the horrendous graphics. VI's plot gets you seriously thinking--as long as you put your mind to it and ignore the weird graphics. xP Anyway. That's just me, so...myuu. XD

3D FF6... haven't you played the Playstation version? all of the cutscenes were 3D. Do you reckon they'll do the rest of the game? I doubt it

I herd they would redo the WHOLE game, But I hope its only the graphics. I think they will because the DS can do graphics far past what it was, even on the PSX re-release.
Maybe its simple 3D, like in "Make An RPG II". It was simple, very simple, but still 3D. The DS can do graphics like that and maybe even more, so I hope Square didnt became lazy and just ported it.

I love RPG maker. I have number 1 and 2 can't wait to get 3.

FF6 is a pretty damn awesome game. It rocks ^_^ ! I'm not getting the port, because I'm not owning a DS and will never own one.

I'm getting a PS3 when it comes out (I should have a job by then) and mabye an XBOX 360. Mabye. But only for Halo 3 and any new oddworld games.

I really hope that 12 is a single player RPG like all the old ones, and not a MMORPG...

I LOVE FINAL FANTASY 7! in my opinion, none of the other games come close as far as the plot goes, although sometimes Cloud gets kind of annoying with all of his random migraine things....
I hope the FF series doesn't get worse and worse as it goes along....first it sucked when FFVIII came out, then Square Soft (or Square Enix, whatever it is now) redeemed itself with FFIX, then it started to get better with FFX, AND THEN....they hit all-time rock bottom with FFX-2. You never, EVER make a special sequel to a final fantasy game. It just doesn't work!! FFX-2 really annoyed me, and it offended me with its whole 'girl power' freaky weird dancing thing. But really nice graphics....

Do you think if maybe they ran out of ideas for a Final Fantasy, they could have a sweepstakes or something for the best plot or best characters? :think:

I thought I got my point through. Its not a massive online RPG, its like the older ones, just you, and maybe a second player in battles to help.

Yes and no. Im only anoyed I have to buy more stuff and sometimes its not backwords compadable. But if there wernt new systems, we would still have 16 bit games, or even 8 bit games, or even no games. It only seems like alot because there are more companies in the game race now. Before it was just Nintendo. Now its Nintendo, Sony, Microwsoft, Tiger, Bandai, Sega, PC, and more.

Well, i'm keeping all of my old consoles. you can't make me get rid of my sega master system!

I'm still on FFX-2, can't find anywhere to level...

Most of the ff's are AAA ranked titels.
Meaning they will probably be available for download.

Anyways, I collect Square games (but less likely for Square Enix) and having the ability to download the old FF's is good, due to the fact I dont have a SNES, but a NES...

I'm very interested in the revolutionary part, because there might be a chance that you could experience the FF games in another way.

You know what? With the XBox 360 and PS3 you just put the DVD in your PC's DVD drive and make an ISO of it.

but... illegal... plus, they are on new formats, not veiwable on a normal DVD player. yay for blueray and this new DVD format!!!

I do, you can find FF1 at used game stores for around $40-$50, and on Ebay for $5-$20 if they have any, I got mine for $10 with maps at a flea market.

FF2 was never released outside of Japan, with the exceptions of the PS and GBA ports.

I honestly don't see what's so good about the Final Fantasy series. Just the same stuff over again, teenagers out having a great time or trying to live or whatnot with a large novelty sword, suddenly gets the fate of the country, ...no, WORLD(!!!!) thrust upon their responsibility.

I don't know, perhaps it's a bit too soft for my liking, but I agree that the music in it is some of the best stuff I've heard for a game.

It's not what the games are per se, it's the whole Final Fantasy concept that brought so much into the RPG gaming community as a whole.

And as a side note, I think the music made a huge part of the fame. Just like StarWars.
