I cant find the anime (movie and series) any where!!! Has any one seen the series before? Is it anything like the book?

i know there is a movie, i didn't think there was a series, and there is a book? :P

but the movie kicked ass. it was really good, but others may not agree with me. i thought it was good

i saw the preview thingy of the movie and it looked MAD!!! so i went out and got it... the movie wasnt as good as i thought it wouldv been... but its still good... i find the 'hand' annoying in the movie...

the hand is great! parisites are always the funniest characters, even in halo!

i saw the movie. its very good. however i never read the manga so i cant really answer thre question on if its like it.

wich are we atlkin about.... you got Vampire Hunter D and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust..... the last one kicked ass the first one looked ancient and made me puke

the book was what started it all. It just came out in a translated version this month, And I only noticed it because Amano drew some pictures for it. theres 17 novles out so far, and its an on going series too....also its $8.99 usd
each, so $9 X 17 = over $150....Good think my mom pays for all the books I want:)

EDIT: sorry, at this one site it listed the 1985 Vampire Hunter D thing was a series, but its a movie. The newer one is loosly based on the books, the only connection is D. The 1985 movie is based on the 1st book

i like both of the movies but bloodlust i would have to say that it was better. :)

The original Vampire Hunter D movie was made in the mid 80's with art, and character design by Yoshitaka Amano, the original character designer for the FF series FF6 was the last FF game he worked on.

He is the on going character disigner for most Final Fantasies. Ive seen many of his art for every game, but for some reason I cant find any of VIII and XI...unless those water colors of the game are done by him. If so, his style really changed.

And I dont think he did the art and charater design for the original movie, its just not his style. But he did do the art for the book, if that is what you ment XD

I just got book 2, Raiser of Gails. CHILDREN ALERT! Theres alot of sex in the book. Well, twice. And its N.A.S.T.Y! So dont read it if you arnt mature yet.

Animenewsnetwork says that Amano did do the character design for the first Vampire Hunter D film. This you could have easily found out before stating he didn't. =P

Well, at least this time I wrote it like a questionable statement, not a fact. I said "I dont think.." Instead of my usual "You idiot, Amano didnt do it!"

Well, I just wasnt to sure he did it because the art style is nothing of the usuall when it comes to Amanos works. Ive been collecting and searching Amano's works, and his art is distinguashble[sp] from anyone elses unless you want to copy it. It just doesnt look like his art..
