I've been needing someone to do this for me, or atleast teach me how. I have no idea how to do it but I'm under the impression that with the right software, it's quite simple.

I don't use winamp myself, but I recall Angelic knew of an easy way to do it. At least I got the impression of it.

In winamp preferences, go to output and select wav writer. Play the song. Encode wav into mp3. Or if you have some midi writing program, it will export to mp3.

Instead of using the Wav output plugin get an MP3 output plugin from Winamp.com. Way easier.

Hmmm... I was looking around Winamp.com, and don't you have to pay in order to access that feature? I would like to transfer my WAV files to MP3 as well, but not really for that kind of money.
