This gives another pro for the DS. The DS isnt region locked, while the PSP is.

The only con to that is that its in Japanese (Duh).... :stoned:

Actually, neither the DS nor the PSP have regional lockout on the games. PSP does have regional lockout on their UMD movies but not games.

Its optional on the ganmes for each system if memory serves, defiantly is for the ds anyway, so its up to the game makers to do it or not, kind of like the xbox is really

It isn't optional for the DS, there isn't any architecture put in place to have a lockout so the developers can't create one. Both systems have completely region-free games. I imagine it's possible for a PSP game to be created with a lockout since there is already a check for it put in place but since Sony has said that there is no lockout on games then I doubt they would allow a region locked game to sell on their system.

Gaaaah, buuuh Nintendo sux, donīt buy DS, ot only has children( 7- ) games and itīs so fockinī big, there is no way u can point the pen and play at the samte time, the console will only fall back. Nintendo sure are unique and was best in the beginning. Now Sony : Playstation has taken over with great design and a great arsenal of games.

But the only negativ is the battery. Buy PSP, a great choise.

What makes you say the DS is for children? Those games you are baseing you 'child-DS' facts on are the first development games, all systems started out will simple games like those, because Developers were new to the system, and making a halo like game right in the begining would be hard.

Would you call Final Fantasy 3 childish? Would you call Metriod childish? Would you call Final Fnatasy CC childish? I hope not, because your a Final Fantasy Fanatic, and yet those games are not coming out for the PSP. All the games by Square that are coming out for PSP are not Final Fantasy related, but Pyo-pop-fever like instead.

Wow, Final Fantasy is childish, like 7 under. But Pyo-Pop-Fever is for very old and mature people.

Don't forget Drop a PSP and you're out $250, drop a DS and you just pick it up and keep playing. BTW The Game Cube is the toughest system in the world, first a ps2 GC and Xbox were droped from an 8' ladder, and the PS2 broke instantly, xbox and GC survived, next they were hit on the side with a sledge, both Xbox and GC survived, then they were dropped from a 20' balcony, the xbox control pannel broke, and was unplayable, the lid on the GC came un-hinged but otherwise played perfectly. That test was performed by Xplay on

Geeze a bunch of nintedo fans in here...the PSP is not region coded, you can get Japanese games for it just as like the DS. Also what makes the PSP better is you can surf the web wirelessly, can the DS do that?!?! didn't think so

I really don't care that the PSP has UMD movies, I have 4 DVD players in my house: Xbox, PS2, a Toshiba DVD Player and of course my PC. I would never watch them UMD movies on the bus, it would look a bit silly and I would most probably get robbed in an eyeblink. As for MP3's, I have an ipod so I could really care less.

What I do care about the PSP is the emulators that you can play on it, some are still being worked on. As for emulation for the DS, it's pretty crap because you need a flash cart in order to play roms =/

EDIT= And saying Nintendo is for children is stupid, Nintendo make quality games such as Zelda and Mario and even though they keep making them, they're always good and fun. *Is waiting for Zelda:TP >.<

Lol. On a site I went to they droped the DS down a flight of stairs 5 times, on a street, bounced it on a trampline for a while and even droped it in the toilet and it worked fine...One drop of the PSP and X_X

The design doesn't matter to a console, neither does its specs, it's the games that do it in the end. The PSP might have better specs than the DS, so far the DS has better games. Nintendo generally focusses on games that provide mainly fun, Sony only seems to care about cool graphics.

Oh, and about Nintendo hardware quality, I think my friend once dropped his SNES off the stairs. The thing works just fine.

Lol, I kicked and threw my NES when I was 3, and I still play it 10 years later and I didnt have to fix it :teeth:

YUP! I would rather have a redone FF3 or somthing then have a bunch of pixles. And a handheld FF:CC and stuff :D

But it all ends on what each persons person preferances is. If you like graphics and super expensive, PSP is your thing. If you want fun, game quality, cheep and just plain better, DS is your thing XD

agree with you :), "Kidtendo Portable".
But nintendo doesn't suck, Gamecube owns =D
btw, is this about how tough the systems are?
damn many careless ppl in here, who drop stuff like that often (if I understood it right). And i don't care of which one is better. :coffee:
I like personally Sony better.
