Who is your favorite character throughout any game....any system...any genre??

Mine would have to be Sephiroth..from FF7..face it. The guy is awesome....his masamune, crazy name "SePhIrOtH!", his personality is so dark and cool, and his origin is so interesting. You should see him in Advent children...he looks a bit scary :heh: , kinda freaks me out a bit..

Sephiroth would be my #1 and Laguna Loire from FF8 rounding in at a close 2nd...

yea Vincent is pretty kool, and its kinda karazie that he's finally getting his own game so you can finally find out his true origin.

Well, as for me I reserve my place for fav character. I do like sephiroth and all but there is just something he's lacking that I have yet to see. (sanity being one) When I see my fav character I will know for sure, though I am certain he will be something like sephiroth

The Final Fantasy games are generally heavily overrated RPG's that hardly add anything new to the genre nowadays. There are much better RPG's out there but FF is just popular amongst the masses and therefore every fanboy screams out it's "teh best thing ever11~!!~"

I'm not saying the FF games are bad, I love some of them (FF6 and 9 being the best IMO) but it's not as great as people say, I've played other RPG's which I found to be much more enjoyable.

To get back to your quote, FF is not an anime, it's a game with CG clips. There are thousands of games that have FMV or in-game cutscenes. Movie? Why, because a story develops? Again, there are thousand other games that do that. FF games aren't a package, they are games, no more, no less.

It's always been Locke for me, although Kefka comes as a close second.

Sephiroth is overrated and overliked by fangirls, the stupid git. Cloud's prettier than him (yes pretty=_=), Squall's cooler than him, Auron looks better with a katana. And Kefka sounds and looks more insane.

I think he's talking about the FF anime and FF movie.

Anyway, FF7 is overrated, Sephiroth sucks, and my favourite character would either be Zidane (the only 3D main character that was all ANGST) or Rikku.

My favorite FF character is VIVI. He's cute and cool and he does MAGIC. Definately a win for me.

As for any other characters, I perfer Donald Duck. A duck, my favorite char from disney comics, and again he does MAGIC. Need i say more?

BTW I am a magic FANATIC. Wonder how many magic/transmutation circles i make per day :heh:

lol yea. For me, his sword is a bit funny because he's so scrony and small and yet he's weilding and slashing enemies at great ease using a sword which is practically bigger than him..

I would say that my favourite characters are Vincent Valentine of FF7 and Vivi from FF9. Both have a certain level of mystery to them, as they all do, but they're both brilliant in my opinion.

gilgamesh is a pretty cool odin replacement.....

Well if I could I would say, that they all are my favorites =), but for now I cheer more for Yuna in Final Fantasy X. She was so well made , just the perfekt asian-girl. And she has the most perfekt eyes :teeth:

Yea she has cool eyes, she reminds me a lot of Selphie from Final Fantasy 8..

yuna reminds me of Urumi Kanzaki from GTO cuz both Yuna and Kanzaki have 2 different colodred eyes (i.e. 1 blue, one brown (kanzaki), yuna's 1 blue 1 green)

I think it looks stupid on her. One green eye from being Al Bhed, it just makes her look silly. x_x

Hard choice that is. My favourite FF last boss is Sephiroth but he's damn easy though. Main character has to go to Cloud because you really know a lot about him and his past.

is it possible to lose to sephiroth at the very end of the game? i never tried it

yeah, bahamut is pretty awesome in ff9. but if you use him in battle, he doesnt do too much damage. well, at least not for me. only about 5000:\
