What do you call people who had just been born in the USA then? I'm so sure you don't call them Native Americans, cause the Native Americans can also be called "Indians" (even though that's rude). Also, immigrants do not really become Americans once they gain citizenship become they would still be what they were. For example, I'm a Filipina but I'm not an American.
