I made this song a few months ago for solo piano, dedicated to the cat I once had, Marmalade. :neko: I lost him around last October or so. :( I think the piece captured the emotions I felt at the time, and Marmalade's cheerful personality is reflected a bit in it, as well. Please tell me what you think, and rate it 1-10, if possible.

EDIT: Added an attachment instead of link. Sorry, but I can only provide a MIDI at this time.

It starts of nice and quiet, and as you mentioned, the piece captures emotions. The left and gets pretty repetitive and boring with time though, and the song itself gets automatically dull because of that. When the song gets around 1:05, it got my interest back, and I liked what I heard. It sort of changed the song for the better. You can easily hear the cheerful personality, and I personally think it's a good way to remember a lost pet. I know that because I've also lost dear pets. So anyhow, the song would flow better if you combined more parts, but I think you did a good job. So you wanted a rating...right.

7.5/10 - very good

:) Since I idolize your music, a 7.5 is very encouraging. :) Thanks for listening to it. I guess the chords in the LH do get a bit repetitious... thanks for pointing that out.

Thanks for your idolization ^_^; hehe. Yeah, I'm pretty strict when it comes to ratings. I give my very honest opinions only, and I never try to soften something up..if something sucks I point that out.

I guess it's good to be honest but for some people, that would seem a bit too brutal... I know it'd be really disenheartening to be proud of something you just made only to have it bashed upon by someone, even if they were being honest. :)

Don't get me wrong now, I enjoyed your song about your lost cat. And regarding that proud thingy, you should try not to be too proud of something you've done..becuase you should always be prepared to take criticism, and be ready to remake it for the better.

Go away you ~ How come you want the sheets even before you've listened to it? Actually, you want sheets for all of the songs found in the Composer's forum, and we all now you've taken credit for other songs you didn't compose/perform before. I apologize if I'm wrong, but it seems like you just want them to show them off as yours on other forums. >.>

and you sure play on a lot of recitals, don't you?.....

Umm... I was wondering can I use that song in my Christmas Piano Competition, if there are sheets to it. Thanks in advance if you can help!

I don't remember exactly in which threads, but there were a few more, where you wanted to play the songs you get here.
Pretty suspicous :shifty:

But back to topic. Nice work Gnomish :) I think the song fits well, for remembering a lost pet.

8.0/10 good job :)
