What was your first system/video game?

Mine was a NES with a Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt duo on one cart, but my first real game system/video game was a PS2 and Chrono Cross, which was my first Square game, that was also before I knew what Square was...

Mario, not sure which one though. All i know is that the levels keep repeating themselves and get harder.

God thats a question that takes me back, certainly one of the first, first computer definatly, was a Vic 20 (in them days noone kidded themselves that computers in a home were gonna be anything other than game platforms, apart from kids trying to get their parents to buy them of course 'but mum it'll help with homework' was a common one) only 3.5k of ram but it played a mean Gorf. For a console though a mk1 master system, oddly it was only ayear or two back I finally got any game cards for it.

Mine would have to be SeGa Genesis. My first games were the original Sonic the Hedgehog, Ranger X (Really fun game ^^), and Road Rash. Sonic was probably the first game I played, loved it.

Ooh, a really fun racing game on the Commedore 360 (or one of the old ones) it was so much fun! still have the instruction booklet somewhere...

I didn't know the name of the game and it was really hard for me at that time.
Later on I found out it was Castlevania on the NESXD

The first one I can REMEBER having is my Game Boy Pocket! Still got it too XD Not the game though; that was pinnochio. My brother stole it and sold it with HIS gameboy :( I really should update my handheld system... still got the same gameboy I got when I was like maybe 10!

i gots heaps of stuff lying around my room. like 2 SEGA Master System II's, a pile of games, and heaps of other crap for other crap...

My first was "Frogger"...it's an OLD computer game (the ones with black screens and glowing green text) lol, does that count?

mine had to be pong. it was on a site i found when iwas like 7 or something.

and goddamn it i hated frogger! i could never get to the spot on the left side of the screen. urgh.

diablo 1? it still RULES!!!! I KILL ALL DENYERS!!! the story really is what makes the game good. boy do i know the story. its like a wicked good fairy tale. ( lol :sweat: ) in the game i really concentrated on the story really... such a good game... *memories*

My first systems, were an Atari, and Commadore 64, that was in like '84-'85

I don't remember the game names but my first system was an ATARI 2600! XD

That's not sad, the N64 ruled, it had amazing games. You should be proud that was your first console =D

yeah, but i wish that i a least had a NES or something...

NES' are easy to get. you can find them at garage sales really cheap, I had 4 NES Units, and over15 games at one time all bought from garage sales, spent under $20 for them, sold 2 gave one to a sibling and kept the final one.

Or if you want, just get an emulator, though it's not as nostalgic, it's cheaper :P

I think it was Pokemon Yellow for the GBC.

One of those cheap, portable/handheld games that you can buy at a drug store. Mini-Golf, haha . .
